I LOVE THIS!! The Ice Cream Canteen is AMAZING for us ice cream lovers who want to take our ice cream anywhere and keep it frozen for hours! I don’t have access to a freezer at work, so this is a Godsend for me! It’s Beautifully made and solid in its build. It may be a little pricey for some, but you get what you pay for in quality, design and functionality! UPDATE: I use this EVERYDAY! It’s freaking AWESOME! Not at all pricey for those who love their ice cream anytime, anywhere! To the seller: Please make a solid cup w/ lid so we don’t need to buy expensive ice cream just to get the right sized container. Please?

it works but overall it's pretty useless. could get same results with a good cooler

Insulation is worse than I expected at this price. The weakest insulation is in the lid, causing the ice cream to melt from the top down, which is inconvenient because it means half the ice cream is perfect to eat whilst the other half is not. In my experience you cannot wait more than 4 hours before eating the ice cream. In contrast, I have other (less expensive) thermos food flasks that will keep food frozen for about 9 hours.

Bought this and the tub cannot be opened. Also, I ordered 2 units in one purchase and now I have to fill 2 completely different returns to 2 separate addresses - one in Indianapolis and the other in Vegas - which do I use (or is there a way to even open these things when this stiff) !!!!

I really enjoyed having access to the Ice Cream Canteen on a recent vacation to the Midwest. A member of our party can't eat dairy ice cream, so I packed a pint of non-dairy ice cream in the Ice Cream Canteen. It was in the canteen for about 4.5 to 5 hours in very warm weather, and it was a little soupy. The consistency may have been due to user error or the heat. I will use it in the future, and hopefully I will get better results.
