wonderful
I’ve just finished reading all five of Louise Bay’s The Royals series and really enjoyed each one! Each is different, but the same themes and characters travel throughout the series. Great characters, believable and endearing. Well plotted and paced, steamy and heartfelt. The best way to spend a rainy afternoon. I highly recommend all five books!!

Great edge to this story!
Reviewed by Donna on behalf of KFFBay has done it again by producing another great story with intriguing characters. I have to say this one's not the same as previous books and very commendable to try something a little different. Nonetheless, I was still treated to a strong hot alpha male and a female protagonist with plenty of sass to keep the male lead on his toes… and ooh boy, did she do just that!Grace Astor is a socialite Park Avenue princess turned art gallery owner. I really liked how bold and determined she is. It’s not just about proving to her wealthy parents that she’s capable of standing on her own two feet, there are other reasons to be revealed. The evening of her opening exhibition for her cheating ex artist is where she meets one of the guests, Sam Shaw.Sam Shaw has risen from nothing to a successful businessman who can afford the finer things in life and moves to Park Avenue. He isn't a materialistic kind of guy and he doesn't get close to people, especially women. To him, sex is just what it is and there's never anything after. My first impression of him was the typical damaged alpha male; however, there’s a lot more depth to him than that. He knows what it’s like to lose things so precious to him, but he can’t stop the urge to get closer to Grace. Something about her intrigues him. Grace always seems to hook up with guys who aren’t any good for her but at the same time, I felt as if she wanted to help and look after them Ah, but what about her? The outcome of a very hot steamy tryst was not at all what I was expecting. Although Sam is the way he is, he was taken aback and totally bowled over by her.Sam and Grace are quite the humorous couple. The total dancing around each other was good to read without leaving me in the least bit frustrated. The author didn’t disappoint with the sex scenes either and my goodness me, were they sizzling! Yep, I can’t resist a dirty boy! We also met Angie who's Sam's very good friend. Having grown up together, she knows everything that’s happened to him. My heart broke when I learnt the reasons for him being like he was.A part in the story that I didn't see coming made me really feel for Sam and Grace, but I had every faith all would work out in the end. Their chemistry is amazing and I very much enjoyed the dialogue and interaction between the two of them. And I'm sure I mentioned hot-hot-hot scenes which has to be reiterated.Park Avenue Prince was a super read. Some may say it’s a tad predictable as the rich alpha damaged man and the independent strong-willed girl has been done countless times before. Throughout the story and regardless of their ups and downs, I knew they’d probably find themselves together. That being said, it still makes for an unputdownable standalone since Ms Bay cleverly writes male and female protagonists who give that little something different. Without a doubt, this story has an edge over the others out there. I’d actually like to revisit these characters in the future. Bravo!

“Our ultimate bliss.”
Sam and Grace were destined to be together. Grace had dated all of these “boys” who were starving artist. Almost as if she didn’t want anything to last. Sam had a sad childhood and he just didn’t care about love or anything. He had things for investment purposes. And then Sam needed his next investment..art pieces and Grace was there to help. These 2 could not have been more different but together, they were the same. Sam fights everything he has to not fall for Grace while Grace tries to show him that loving someone is worth it.Such a great story. Sam really bugged me towards the end with the cutting everyone off and just not giving anyone a chance to help him. Harper irritated me as well because she was just negative about Sam towards the end. It might have been tough love, but she really didn’t need to be so hateful. Especially after all her and Max went through and how Grace helped them get together.I am so happy they found their HEA. They are perfect for each other.

Best book ever!
I think I love this book best of the series. Seriously broken, but the most marvelous of men in so many ways. Sam Shaw is such a beautifully broken man who adoringly finds his HEA in Grace Astor his precious Park Avenue Princess. This Cinderella-esque story really captured my heart. Both of these fiercely independent characters took me on a fantastic literary journey and the ending is totally worth the entire read.

A Good Read
Just not a great one. And it could have been. The writing was good, with an occasional grammatical error here and there. The characters are where Ms. Bay was a hit and miss. While most of the secondary characters felt well-developed, I felt that Sam was too much of an automaton. I really got what Ms. Bay was going for, but it seemed that Sam's realization of what he was doing, and what he could potentially lose, came upon him at just the opportune time. I guess what I'm saying is that it felt contrived.I wondered if Angie had never had this conversation with Sam before, about his ability to love, etc. I know I heard Grace say it, but it didn't seem to sink in when she did. So it bothered me.I also had trouble feeling their passion when they weren't in the throes of sex. I mean, all these "complaints" could certainly be my stuff, and not what other readers felt, but since this is my review...Overall a good read. I just see the potential for Ms. Bay to produce some great reads. I hope some of the other ones I read well show me I'm right.

Tolles Buch, tolle Story, tolles Ende.Leseempfehlung
