This is a handsome watch but its accuracy is sorely lacking. One day it is ten to fifteen minutes fast and the next it us slow. Not a reliable timepiece

The movement runs about +8 seconds a day which is well within reason for a mechanical watch at this level. The open heart design is interesting, with an element that rotates once per minute. It doesn't seem to be functional, but it does make the open heart feel more like a real tourbillon and is an interesting conversation piece. Most of us can't afford a real tourbillon watch, so if you have that craving, this might have to do. By the way, the movement does not have hacking, but it does have hand-winding. The pushers on the side are there for adjusting the day and date; this is not a chronograph. Also, the day/night complication might look like a lunar calendar, but it's really just an a.m./p.m. indicator. All the indices on the dial are applied, with the exception of the days and dates on the subdials; those are of course printed. The case feels solid and well made, and has a curious and interesting display back. The movement inside is a brassy gold tone and is nicely decorated. The screws are also blued... or I should say, a simulated blued as the blue color appears to be paint rather than heat treatment. It doesn't matter though. The bracelet is slightly rattly, but this is almost unavoidable for a jubilee-type bracelet like this. Otherwise it feels well made and comfortable, with a nice deployant clasp that is a step above a stamped metal clasp. There are lume pips on the hour markers as well as the hour and minute hands, but to be honest, the charge doesn't last very long. This is typical of a watch at this level... you have to pony up some more cash to get the all-night lume. And regardless, I'm not sure lume has a place on a dressier watch like this. As for water resistance, just seeing the pushers on the side told me all I need to know, but on the case it says waterproof to 3 atmospheres. This is almost nothing. Keep it away from the water. All in all, this is an excellent watch for the money. I'm glad to see so many manufacturers stepping up to provide good quality watches at an excellent value price.
