Just add a tablespoon or a little less of avocado oil and a few shakes of salt or any other seasoning you might like, pop 1/2 a cup of kernals (my favorite is Amish popcorn kernals) in your microwave for almost 4 minutes. Popcorn comes out steaming and the silicone material on the bowl can be a little warm. I bought the grey because another viewer said the bowl starts to discolor after use.
