The SKINS A400 Series represents the pinnacle of performance compression technology. It all starts with proprietary fabrics. Powerful, warp knit constructed fabric offers exceptional compression control and durability, giving engineers the ability to maximize muscle stability and support while precisely controlling gradient compression levels to maximize blood flow enhancement. Perform longer and stronger with less fatigue during activity and recover faster when worn post activity. Adaptive HIEQ technology embedded in key fabric panels offers state-of-the-art climate control technology: cooler when it's hot, warmer when it's cool for optimal muscle performance. Each pair of tights is made from 5 different fabrics and 20+ panels for a precise, premium fit and the ultimate in targeted performance. Medically applicable, Elastomeric yarn, low denier memory 'MX' fabric around the knees on A400 tights provides consistent compression but also supports the body's natural movements without applying too much pressure over the knee cap. Additional features include 360 degree reflectivity utilizing advanced, premium glass bead technology for enhanced visibility in low light conditions. Bonded hems for increased comfort, and A-Seams for a flatter, stronger, chafe free seam. And of course UPF50+ UV protection. Comfortable, long lasting with verifiable performance Enhancing benefits. Perform stronger, longer with less fatigue and a quicker recovery. Performance compression: it's equipment, not clothing.

Fantastic gear for training.
This was made for me i feel, the fit/compression is perfect.5'5 168lb muscular build, i got the medium/short.I love the fact that they have short/tall option, as most tights out there would be a bit too long for me.These tights works as advertise, i can feel it's effect on my training on the first day i used it. It helps that my lower body (glutes, quads, hams, and even calves) are big as i feel they fully utilize the advantage of the compression.Nothing was loose, or too tight, very comfortable - by MY experience. In terms of performance i do feel stronger. The compression made me more explosive, as i had better mind-muscle connection. Most importantly i also feel safe as my joints and muscles feels warmer as well.It is expensive but if you can get one for around $90 like me buy it!

Yeah these are great...
... alas. Love SKINS products a lot and certainly hoped that a white knight would rescue the company (went into receivership in Jan 2019) but, so far, no luck. Anyway, the A400s are VERY GOOD running and compression tights (the only ones better are the K-Propriums), quite nice fitting and comfortable (why mens shorts and tights are NOT gusseted every time is beyond me. Have designers not noticed certain male anatomic "features"?) and get them while you can.

great compression tights
I bought 2XU MC5 to compare and found them a bit too tight for my size -- 5'10" 149lbs 21" thighs 35" hips. Skins fit perfectly and foot opening is flexible, making taking on and off easy breezy. Really happy with these. They do seem to help with recovery/reduce soreness after leg weight training workouts. I wear them all day after workouts without discomfort.

Disappointing.
My biggest gripe is that for $110 I would expect the waist band elastic not to roll, which is very annoying. The waist band is not "tacked" to the inner elastic in the front and as the elastic is tight within the waistband it continually tends to roll inside the waistband. I have a very flat, muscled stomach so it is not an issue caused by my body; it is due to bad design. The tights are made of quality fabric and have good upper leg compression but there is no real compression at the calf muscles and the seaming seems more for design purposes rather than for leg muscle adaption. I will not buy these again.

I Could Live in These
These are the most comfortable tights I have ever owned, including some other well known brands like UA and 2XU. These tights keep me warm and comfortable. I wear them on off days and during training. They are comfortable during any activity--cariod, weightlifting, power lifting, cross-training, etc. I told my wife I would never take them off, but eventually I broke down to wash them.

Better compression tights than some popular brands
I have bought tights from other popular brands and these are way much better than those. These offer sufficient compression without being too tight or loose, however these tights are a little pricey and maybe I expected it to be a tad tighter or maybe I just need to bulk up more. I would never hesitate to buy one again if I find a discount.

Good Tights - Just Expensive
I picked these up primarily as a thermal layer for fall/winter running. I certainly could have satisfied that need with a cheaper option, but I also wanted to see if compression gear would in fact help with recovery. I'm happy to say that, yes, they do seem to have a positive influence on recovery when I sleep with them.Fit: I'm 5'7" and ~165lbs. Medium-short fits well. They are a bit challenging to put on, but that's how its supposed to be.Quality: They are tights, so they are expected to be light/thin. These seem to be good quality for the amount of material, but I can see myself poking holes w/ my fingers. I've not done it yet, so knock on wood.Performance: I cannot say for sure if these actually help with activity, but they do seem to help with recovery. I will say that I do like to use them for running, kettlebells, yoga, and suspension work. When holding a position, I think they provide a bit of stability.Appearance: They make you look like a ninja.Anyway, I like them, but I have no frame of reference to compare to other products. I'm only knocking a star because of the price. I cannot imagine R&D/materials justify the MSRP. I'd like to compare to cheaper tights - I'm willing to bet there's a bit of marketing hooey at play here.NOTE: I've used these in tandem w/ the A400 long sleeve shirt.

Great but rise in waist could be higher
Fit is tight but it is supposed to be that way. My only complaint is that they make the rise to short on these so they sit really low on my waist. If you have no butt they may fit better. However, I do so I just deal with it. A minor issue in my opinion. The quality is great and I still really like them. 4.5 out of 5
