Tent Stove, Portable Camping Wood Burning Stoves Stainless Steel with Chimney Pipes for Outdoor Cookout, Hiking, Travel, Backpacking Trips (Silver)

I needed a small tent stove for my off grid shelter, and for camping or emergencies. Shelter is 24' x 10' with lofts on both ends with my tall gambrel roof. This stove is able to keep the shelter fairly warm. It's obviously a small stove, so it needs to be fed consistently. I created a window insert for my stove pipe to go through a window instead of through the wall or roof. I use two 45 degree elbows so the pipe goes out at a slant. I figure this helps it vent easier than 90 degree angles would. And it vents quite well. The stove is lightweight, but well-made, so there not much smoke leakage inside the shelter. I really like this stove a lot. Super easy to pack up and take home with me or wherever I need it. The pipes are good quality and fit well. Separately I purchased the two 45 degree elbows and the stainless steel spark arrestor sold on amazon, which is a great addition. The 2.36 inch pipes sold on Amazon fit this perfectly. My stove came with a few mars on the anodized surface. It might have had some water get on it at the warehouse or something. But no big deal. After it's been used, the stove and the pipes take on a cool darker color which I really like. it also didn't smoke like painted stoves do when you first fire them up. The titanium finish is actually really great. I also like that the fire box can take wood that's a little longer than 12 inches. Up to 13 inches actually. This really matters once you get to the wood processing part of it. Between the damper and the front vent, you actually have pretty good control over the burn. Even using the two 45 degree angles and the extra vent cap, the stove burns great and has no problem exhausting the smoke. The little shelves on the side are great for drying your socks or gloves, or hat, etc. By bedtime, my socks and beanie are dry and toastie warm. You could also roast marshmallows by taking the lid off, and taking the lid off surprisingly doesn't bring smoke into the room. You can cook on the top as well. If the smoke fogs up the glass, it cleans very easily by getting some paper towel damp and rubbing ash on the glass after it cools, of course. Cleans right up. To store it, I put the grill up against the side, and I can fit in all the pipes and the spark arrestor in it. One of the 45 degree angles can fit inside in front of the other pipes, and I just put the second angle piece onto the stove's chimney opening. It stays there just fine. Very handy.

I just got thisWood Stove, and while I haven’t had the chance to test it yet because of the weather, I wanted to share my first impressions. Right out of the box, this stove feels solid. The titanium surface gives it a nice, durable look, and it’s not as heavy as I expected. It comes with chimney pipes, heat-resistant glass, and gloves, which is a nice bonus. Assembly was easy—everything fit together well, and it seems sturdy. I love the fact I can carry it with one hand. I was looking for a portable wood-burning stove for camping trips and even when we camp in the backyard with the kids, something that could heat a tent and also be used for cooking. The size is just right—not too bulky, but still big enough to be functional. The heat-resistant glass window is a nice touch since I’ll be able to see the fire without constantly opening the door. I’ll update once I’ve had a chance to use it, but so far, I’m happy with the quality.

I purchased this wood stove to use in a 200-square-foot geodesic dome because I didn’t have room for – or need for – a full-size wood stove. Unlike many other tent stoves, you get two windows on this model, which really sold me on it. I’m a sucker for the glow of a good fire, and hiding it all behind cast iron just seemed like a waste. Though the stove is barely bigger than a shoebox, it throws off plenty of heat for a small enclosed space. With chunks of kiln-dried alder, I was able to keep my dome warm enough to lounge around in a t-shirt on a 20-degree night. Just keep in mind: Unlike a larger wood stove, there’s not much room to “bank” coals in this thing, so you’ll need to constantly feed it. And the small size means you’ll want to cut your firewood to half the standard length. For the price, the quality of the stove is quite impressive, with one exception – the glass. The first time I lit up the stove, the side glass shattered. When I went to replace it with the included spare, I found that it had broken during shipping. Lily at Fitinhot customer support very promptly responded to my request for replacement glass, but I received the wrong size two times before they were able to make it right by sending a new stove. Apparently, my model was an old style they no longer have the right size glass for. While I wish it hadn’t taken so long to remedy, I applaud them for standing by their product and making it right, even at considerable expense. This is a company I’d absolutely buy from again. Receiving the replacement stove also gave me the opportunity to see all sorts of improvements they’ve made to this product in just a few months. The stove no longer ships with the glass installed (which should prevent shipping breakage), it’s easier to install thanks to threaded holes in the body, and the top chimney pipe now has perforations. The included gloves are also a nice touch since you’ll be handling raw-edged glass during assembly.

The item not only came with scratches or scuff marks all along the top side, but one of the glass parts is completely chipped off, the second had a very minor chip. It was packaged very solid so it either was packaged this way with the knowledge of the damages or somehow it got damaged in the process of packaging. There’s other superficial scratch marks on the top that appears to be from handling so I’m not sure if this one was previously owned or not, but would like to have at least a glass replacement. After only four or five times of opening up the door, the lower screw popped out and fell to the ground. It does sit very low to the ground unexpectedly so we set it up on bed risers. They did not melt and supported it fine. Although, to be extra cautious you can put a heat retardant silicone where the feet will rest. Do not touch the hot pipe with the gloves that was provided, as they will burn and melt and leave a residue on the pipe. I did this when trying to open up the flue. The hook for the flue was missing, where as it appeared to be one in the video description. I’ve contacted the seller to at least send out replacement glass about two days ago. I hope to hear from them soon. Our Anniversary Get away is almost 2 weeks away. Hoping to get this resolved by then. All in all, I do like the stove and the metal seems to hold up to the heat. Definitely needs to burn before first use. It may give off a slight smell but it will definitely give off a lot of smoke as it burns off the first time. Also as the pipe expands it does become difficult to release after a burn cycle. It helped to twist them off versus trying to pull. Hopefully this is helpful and prevents someone from bending and damaging their pipe with pliers. 2024 Update: This will be brief, but stove has held up. We enjoy using it although after several uses our only complaint is the seam around the door, or lack there of. It heats well for about an hour burn but the smoke will seep out around the front door and may need some kind of sealant. Outside of that it’s still a keeper. I will be going for a Pomoly model with three panes glass, as this model taught me a few things leaving me desiring more.

The construction of this stove is very good for its price. You get a small window in the front which is great to watch the wood burn, and they were thoughtful enough to include a spare window in case you break one. I like the fact that they have two side hangers where you can hang dry small items which I use to store extra wood to make sure they are dry before I put them in, and the way it folds together to become a carrying handle is a huge plus. For its size, it throws off good heat to be used in a hot tent, and I can't wait to take it camping as the weather's getting colder.

I used it multiple times on weekend hunting trips. This stove leaks out of every corner and connection point. I ended up getting a piece of metal and wood stove gasket sealant to seal it up (including the stupid open part on top) Still didn't help. After waking up at 4 am to my carbon monoxide alarm going off and coughing so badly I had to run out in 15 degree weather to get some fresh air. I promptly threw this thing out in the snow and left it there. It would probably be okay in a bigger tent, but would still leak significantly, make sure you have good air flow through your tent. Should have just spent the money on a nicer one. It's currently in a state park trash can if anyone wants it.

I live on the big island. Mountain gets snow....and lava this year! I can feel the icyness In The air but mainly I need to burn off humidity. I read the reviews about where it smokes and I fixed those areas. Feel free to copy bit it is at your own risk. There was only heavy rope seal on shelves. I bought one cut off a section and unraveled it. It unravels sorta like like knitting. Wore gloves because its fiberglass. I used two strands and went around the inside of lid, gluing it in place with stove gasket cement. Then I took a single strand and gently tucked it between metal and glass inside and out. Then I used cement like caulk and put it over rope strands, inside and out. To fix the hole in the pull off burner I bought a bolt, 3 washers, a coupler nut for all-thread, a nut and a cupboard door knob. I drilled the knob all of the way threw. Then put washer on bolt and put threw hole in lid. Add washer then coupling then door knob the washer and finish with nut. To put chimney threw wall I cut away a piece of wall bout 3 inches bigger than chimney. Then I added wonderboard with a hole bored for chimney. Wonderboard tis fiber glass sheets with mortar on them- in essence concrete. I have also used tin or aluminum flashing. Just make sure and cut away wood far enough back. I may bend some flashing into a pipe to create double wall for exiting house. Then I fastened pipe down w plumbers strap. Remember 6' above house to vent/draft properly. I always take vents out wall instead of roof. It is set on a little table with a piece of formica counter top screwed to it. Then countertop is screwed to wall. Haven't managed to punch hole in feet for screws yet so I plumbers strapped 2 feet on opposite sides, front and back. Might be a little smoke at chimney base. If so I will just caulk w cement. I will likely add something to the key chain rings on dampers n doors. Feed a spring onto them or wrap to cool them off. I am using a pan meant for under wood beams to scape out ashes. Chimney needs screwed together. Have to put a tree branch inside to support to punch holes. The walls around it need fireproofing also. Again I use wonderboard and tin/aluminum. Works well. Really well and no smoke. I will likely buy 1 of these for every room......a wood stove shipped to Hawaii! Woooohoooo!

UPDATED: After one use the finish did bubble and peel off in a couple spot. Doesn't effect to function but the advertising is false about the heat resistant finish. Smoke does come out the door seam but I fiddled with the damper and door air vent and that fixed the problem there. ORIGINAL: Very please with this little unit. Setup was super simple and all parts arrived. Did a test run with it using only part of the chimney and was very please with the ability to control the smoke. Added bonus is that you can move around the unit with the two "handles" while it's still hot and not get burned. Two pieces of glass arrived so that's pretty handy to have a spare on hand. It sits low so I'll be building a little platform to raise it a bit. The top circular plate didn't fit at first, so I thought, but it just needed to be pushed down into the hole and there was no smoke leakage. Overall very pleased with the test run and am looking forward to a warm winter camping.

Bought in December, right in the middle of the winter, it does exactly as said, warm up my tent, the only thing you need to watch, is the chimney pipe as it could get bright red hot, so set up the stove vent half open to make it burn slowly and not suffocate the fire.

**** After my initial review below, the manufacturer sent a new stove pipe set. Ye to try it but he customer service alone deserves an added star. I think it is important to get your fire going hot as quick as possible and keep good air flow to prevent resin build up. Use dry wood. Used it on a hunting trip this weekend We got snow and rain. Damper is kinda flimsy, some small smoke leakage at seams of stove. Kept us warm for the weekend at around 0 degrees for most of the weekend. Stove pipe starting to leak resin and bubble then eventually caked on. After the weekend the first stove pipe was stuck to the stove and some of the other sections wouldnt come a part. The stove pipe is also now very clogged up with creasote resin and sut. You get what you pay for I guess.

I have been winter camping my whole life and i wish i had heard about these stoves 20 years ago. I've had this for a few weeks and tested it out twice. Easy to set up, use, and get into a hot tent. its a little too big for a hiking/camping trip in the winter. But if you are doing base camping with a medium hike in. its small enough that you can carry it in with relative ease, but i would research lighter/smaller units. My kids have been asking me every day to set up the hot tent so they can make grilled cheese on the new stove. if i were to purchase another i think id look for one with more windows, but that is so minor and cosmetic it wasn't worth taking off a star.
