These running boards were surprisingly easy to install—no drama, no thrown tools, which is always a win. The quality is exactly what you’d hope for, and they’ve already proven themselves by surviving northern snow without a single hint of rust. They fit our Trail Boss perfectly, like they were made for it. Bonus: they don’t give the truck that “why does it suddenly look shorter?” vibe like some steps do—they actually keep that lifted, tough look intact. Even my son (a self-proclaimed truck enthusiast with two trucks to his name) is impressed and is now considering a set for his Ford with a 6-inch lift—which says a lot. Overall, solid, reliable, and good-looking—definitely a recommendation from me.

Easy install. Simply start all bolts and leave them loose until they are all started. Line it up and tighten it down. Good looks. Well made. Even came with some extra hardware. ( yes I put all of it on)

Smanow BCKA-95365 Running Boards Review (Amazon) I just installed these running boards today (10/17/2025) on my 2019 Tundra Crew Max. The product is nice, with a solid feel and what appears to be a quality finish. I think it looks good on my truck. It seems to be well made and fits the factory mount points for running boards. Installation was straightforward with common hand tools: a ⅜” ratchet, 12mm,13mm, and 17mm sockets, and 3” and 6” extensions (the instructions advise AGAINST using any power tools). Reason for only 4 stars: The installation instructions, on the other hand, were awful. In addition to the always expected grammar and spelling errors, the dimensions and illustrations were ambiguous and contained a few important errors. This prolonged the installation process. For example, the dimensions shown on the step bars - used to distinguish the right from left - didn't reflect those of the product. That led me to mix them up - a fact I discovered only after partially installing one and discovering that the driver-center and driver-rear mounting holes didn't align with the brackets. I had to undo my work and swap the step bars. Another, relatively minor, error showed the threaded factory mounting spots as open, while mine had filler bolts installed that I had to remove. Not a big deal, but it cast doubt on whether I had identified the right spots, and also sent me back to my toolbox to get a 12mm wrench to remove them. I wish businesses that manufacture their products overseas would make a little effort to review and test the instructions using reasonable proxies for real customers!

First poto passenger side, second poto driver side. This is one winter in N.Y. paint didn't hold up. Passenger side worse being it's the side that travels the edge of the road ( more salt area ) Driver side still rusted. So 2 stars for paint job.

My friend and I installed these on my Silverado in about 2 hours. The quality looks good, with the powder-coat covering every exposed surface including the welds. I don't see any spots that concern me as far as rust goes. It's strong, easily supporting my weight. The rails are specific, driver side versus passenger side. I didn't spot any markings to indicate which side is which, but the mounting points clearly aligned with only one side. The instructions also suggest you'll need five or six different sized wrenches / sockets. But really they only use two sizes on this kit for the Silverado. The position of the bolts that hold the rail to the brackets make them a little difficult to maneuver the wrench around, so I definitely recommend using a set of good open-end wrenches rather than a large, clunky adjustable wrench that will have trouble fitting around the bolts. During install, I did have to loosen a few bolts to nudge the rail into position and then retighten, which the instructions warned about. Tiny nit-pick, as usual the instructions contained some mistranslation and typos. These didn't prevent us from installing the rails properly.

Holy fast shipping batman. There is a left and right for the steps and once you get the brackets left and right straight they go on quick. They are sturdy and look good arrived in perfect condition. They fit my 2017 canyon perfectly

***READ FULL REVIEW***2021 GMC 1500, easy install everything fit the way it was supposed to and that’s nice. Did have one bracket that didn’t quite line up but it was an easy fix, all you need to do is loosen the bracket on the truck and bolt the bracket to the step and then tighten everything down. One thing that I do see as an issue is the thin metal they used for the steps. They flex a lot when I step on them. I’m not a small guy I’m 6’2 260lbs but if they used a thicker gauge steel it probably would feel better and not flex so much. Welds look robust so that’s good and for a $170 product it seems reasonable. Another thing is people say they rust really fast. I live in Florida and work on the beach everyday. I will know very quickly how fast and bad they rust and will let you know. Again something everyone needs to understand is this is such a cheap option for running boards $170 is very cheap compared to name brand stuff. Most cost $400-$600 for basic and up to $1200 for powered so the value to quality ratio I think is right on the money for these. They look nice, easy to install so now we will see how they hold up, but if they don’t it was a good temporary option.

Just got these for my 2025 Chev 2500, really love the look these put off and how tight it sit to the truck. Very easy to installed and shipping was faster than I expected. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and I would order again in future.

I just installed them not sure how they’ll hold up but for how easy and how good they look I’m super happy with them.

I ordered these for my 2025 Chevrolet Silverado RST and I installed them this summer. I was able to do it myself in my parking stall. I will admit that it would be a lot easier if you have a 2nd person to help with the install. I have had it for the summer, fall and winter and it so far has held up nicely. I like the look of the running boards and the way it makes the truck side profile look more capable.
