If you don't like maintaining your kitchenware (such as sharpening knives or oiling/seasoning cast iron pans), no judgement, we are all really busy nowadays and have to choose carefully how to use our time. That said, it's only worth to spend this much on a knife if you can afford to maintain it. Otherwise, tkmaxx and tramontina sell good quality knives that are more affordable and I *personally* wouldn't feel as guilty to neglect.
