Would a small be too big for a 12 year old girl? (5'2", 100 lb)?

No , these run very small. You should be fine

I got this for my BF but he thinks it’s dirty and he “can’t wear this outside,” did anyone else have that immediate reaction?

Uhhmm, no. He may be wound a little tight…just sayin. And no offense.

What is the % cotton for these shirts? Are they thin/light/breathable or thicker/more sturdy?

60%. I think there is more cotton under the cap of an aspirin bottle.

Hi. trying to understand if the t is cotton or cotton-poly. description leaves it uncertain. thanks.

50% cotton, 50% polyester on mine.
