Kester 951 Liquid Soldering Flux, No-Clean, 2-ounce Bottle

I had been using syringes of paste with gun squeeze handle. While Improving bench space wanted to try a cleaner flux that left less persistent messy residue to clean, and also wanted more convenient application in more compact package. This 'repackaged' liquid flux has displaced my tubes in only a few uses! Very clear, during and after soldering. Flux action works perfectly well. Super compact to stand on back of mat. My only caution is it is VERY liquid. May end up applying a smaller gauge blunt needle. I already had spares which had silicone needle covers, which I keep on this. That detail makes this flux and bottle a perfect permanent solution on my bench. Just ordered 2 more bottles. One for my mobile kit and one for spare. In spite of the price, it is less per ounce than the no-name brands, and presumably MUCH better quality and performs as desired. Definitely recommend for hobbyists that solder regularly and desire to level up after getting the cheap stuff during the learning curve.

I purchased this product at a glance and I have not regretted it. It goes on easy and cleans all soldering surfaces without making a mess. I normally go for paste, but this converted me to liquid. I don't work on electronics professionally, I'm just a humble hobbiest. As a hobbiest, I can tell you every brand of flux that works the best, that is easy to clean up etc. Kester 951 blows everything out of the water! I barely have to clean up after soldering a wire, sometimes I don't even have to. It's incredibly flammable, and that's the only con. The smell isn't so bad either, it smells pleasant when burned with an iron. I will buy this again when the time arises. The seller had it delivered a week earlier than expected, which was really awesome!

This stuff is good! No clean is on the money. I still clean out of habit though!

This Flux does work well. Maybe not as good as your standard flux that needs to be cleaned up. But that's what you get for the convenience this provides. My only complaint is how quickly it evaporates even without heat applied. I've found that I've had to reapply this more often as I'm working, compared to my standard flux. Also, I'm using up a lot more of it just on small projects. So just be warned, it works well and no cleanup is needed, but it evaporates quickly. Causing you to use more of it.

I just started to use this flux, and it is a big improvement on the flux I was using. I cleaned out my BON-102 pen, and refilled it with the tester flux. it flows much better than the previous liquid flux I was using. I will buy it again.

Excellent solder flux. Works as it should and requires little to no need for cleanup after use.

Excellent product for model train building electronics. The needle pipe is great for pin pointing your exact location to apply Kester. I use my in a small cap with a brush, but it evaporates very quickly. Does not leave any residue, does not have a foul odor when heated.

Best customer service! Also the best high flow liquid flux! Been using it for a decade!
