Review: Great little charger board for the price - I have read that HiLetgo products seem to be priced based on the possibility that a couple of them may not work, and maybe this is true, but I have not had that problem so they are a great deal. I converted a Coleman lantern to use two 18650s for power and have one of these charging them in parallel and it works great. Charge time is not fast, but I have about 15 hours of run time on my lantern and I don't have to buy D batteries anymore. I have plenty more 18650s and 9 more of these boards to make projects :)

**Q: Can we use any 3.7v battery with this board like the 1/2aa size icr14250 3.7v 300mah li-ion lithium rechargeable battery?**
A: Yes but 1.2k program resistor should be changed out for a 4k to match 300ma cc charging. Assuming 1C charging. May be able to push 2C with a 2kohm.

**Q: Will this charge a bank of 4 18650 batteries?**
A: These are designed for single cells.  One of these boards could charge 4 batteries in parallel at 1/4 the charge rate.  

If you want to charge 4 batteries in series you would need to use 4 of these boards, one for each battery, but it is not clear to me whether they could remain in the circuit while drawing power from the batteries or what the output would look like when one or more charging board was powered.  Without more detail from the manufacturer, I would assume that it would not work for cells in series.

**Q: If i connect this to solar panels will this charge and run my nodemcu lua wifi ?**
A: i’ve currently got two solar panels (5v) 300mah each one charging one 18650.

you can use the outputs one to connect each other to get whatever voltage for example two 18650 is about 7-8v. i’m using dc buck converter to drop it to 5.2 in hops to run a raspberry pi4 which takes 5.2v@3. :)

**Q: Can it take in 3.7v and output 5v? Or would I need a step up module?**
A: No. If you dropped the input voltage to 3.7v it would not draw enough current to charge the battery. You could step up the output voltage but it would stop changing when the cutoff voltage reached 4.2v.
