I'm so hard of hearing ( the reason I bought this ) that I don't hear the alarm, but everybody in the house does. **Q: Will the shaker work effectively with a SleepNumber or other similar air mattress?** A: I bought this for my 16 year old son who sleeps 'like the dead'. I had SO much trouble getting him up for school and/or work. He actually doesn't put the 'shaker' part under his pillow or mattress....he lets it dangle down the nightstand.
