After closing the shower it still drips water. The solution is to open a bit the tap and then close it back. For Grohe quality this is not acceptable and it is annoying.

Solidly built cast brass combination waterfall tap head for bath and shower fitment with unique heat/flow controls, and excellent chrome finish which also doubles up as a shelf for shampoo. Even our plumber was impressed!

I wanted to add a shower facility to our bath, and opted for this thermostatic mixer (and a set of grohe "18121000 Pillar Unions" to attach it to the bath). Pros: Nice looking tap Heavy / solid Tap itself doesn't get hot (although it does get cold!) Smooth action on the controls Can calibrate the temperature. Cons: This may be a "water saving" design feature, but the flow rate of water through the tap itself is about a third of what it used to be from the mains-pressure conventional taps. Makes filling up the bath a much longer job! Due to the thermostatic nature of the tap (and a built in safety feature), it will no longer dispense really hot water. Another annoyance when trying to warm up a cooling bath... The main body of the tap is a good quality solid metal - however, both controls are plastic. Fitting with the pilars makes it stick out over the bath more than I'd have liked, but that's not really the taps fault! The on off control - rotate one way for shower, and the other for tap. Probably just me, but quite easy to turn the shower on when you're trying to run the bath (which inevitably results in myself and the bathroom getting a good soaking, due to the position of our shower head!). I'm missing the old-style "pull to activate shower" control. Overall - I'm happy with my purchase, but I'd probably consider a different model if I ever had to replace it...
