I was suspicious at first, but was willing to try it based on other reviews. I've been frustrated with "nail clipper" style trimmers especially with tiny tippet. These win. The "safety lock" is a little fidgety at first, but you'll get the hang of it after a while. My only criticism is that it's a little tricky to hold onto the tag end of the line while trimming - and thus capture the waste for proper disposal. You eventually figure out a way, but it's not as simple as with other trimmers.

This is the 4rd set of line cutters I've purchased. I've used them on braided line from 8 to 50 pound. These are the very best yet.

I've used my pocket knife for fishing since I was little. Added this to save on shipping and then repurposed it as a mustache trimmer. Blunt tip 👍

A must have, and attached nicely on the side of my fishing bag. I use it only for braid. The only negative is the retractable cord, which usually goes bad before the blade give out. I will continually use this product until there is something better. Cuts great. Retractable cord stinks

This is my go-to cutter for all types of fishing line. It will cut limp braid with ease. Just bought a second pair for my creek bag. Compact and rugged.
