Dove Damage Therapy Derma Shampoo Dryness + Itch for Flaky Scalp with Pyrithione Zinc and Coconut Oil 12 Fl Oz

I love this shampoo! It actually works and relieves dry scalp and itchiness. I have never personally had issues with a dandruff problem, but over the last month or so has been experiencing itchy scalp consistently. The shampoo from dove smells great and is very moisturizing and creamy feeling in texture. It soaps up well in the shower and leaves your hair feeling and scalp feeling very clean, but not overly dry. especially for being under five dollars a bottle, I highly recommend giving this a shot. It may be a much better option for you than basic dandruff shampoo.

The scent is so much better than your H&S scent. It is just a clean scent, not too feminine and not too masculine. My teenage son actually likes this and requested that I purchase it again. He was using Suave Men 2-in-1 that also has zinc, but that was a bit tooooo moisturizing making his hair heavy. I am using conditioner after this Dove shampoo which I normally don't use. I did not notice there was more hair in the drain after showering, so that's a plus. No itchy scalp, smells good, shampoo is actually white so there will not be any blue stains in the shower. Price is excellent UPDATE: If you have bacne, wash your back with this too. Leave it on a few minutes before rinsing off, just as you do with your scalp. I noticed that the only places on my son's back that had bacne were on his sides, below his shoulder blades and top of shoulders. From using this shampoo and rinsing his hair, under his neck and between his shoulder blades straight down to his waist was always clear from bacne. The reason why is the zinc in this shampoo. It is great for fixing acne/bacne

This is the best shampoo that works for my husband and I when our scalp experiences intense dryness and irritation. It always happens to me during the change in season, either cold or hot and I have lost a lot of hair that naturally comes out with brushing or washing with the flakes. My father suffers from the same dryness. I gave him a bottle since I purchased the six pack and helped him 100%. My hair is also really soft and has even helped some dry patches I have on my forehead and cheeks . I hope they bring this shampoo back to Amazon inventory.

I like this shampoo. I need medicated shampoo for my itchy scalp. I used this shampoo and conditioner for years. It works, it smells nice, no complaints. I will no longer buy this because it has doubled in price. I used to get it for $4-6 per bottle. It is now $10-12 at my local grocery. I liked using this brand but not enough to spend double for an essential item. Cheaper brands work just as well.

So far it seems to work really well. It is a little pricey for such a small bottle. The shampoo does a good job keeps my the scalp moisturized and hair soft and clean. Been using for a few months now and have it as a subscribe and save.

I suffer from Seborrheic Dermatitis and have been getting worsening flare-ups from using other drugstore shampoos + Neutrogena's T-Gel shampoo. After using this Dove shampoo, my scalp immediately felt less itchy and doesn't feel as dry and irritated anymore just after one use. Great product overall and very worth it. Advice: For SD, it's best to use this product daily and use Neutrogena's T-Gel shampoo [or whichever medicated shampoo works for you] for flare-ups.

The shampoo is OK for me. I really enjoy the scent and I feel like my hair gets a good wash out of it. It didn’t quite help with my scalp dryness like I was hoping it would. It’s a really big bottle for the small price that you pay so that’s great. And it does make my hair feel clean. However, I did run it through an app (the app is called Yuka) that tells you if a product is good for you or not and it got zero out of 100 so that wasn’t very great to see. I’ll still use it but I probably won’t buy it again knowing that it’s not good for my hair.

For the price, this works very well. It does contain fragrance, but my scalp feels way less irritated than a normal fragranced shampoo. And, my hair does feel stronger/thicker after 1 use compared to a normal shampoo. I use one of those gentle shampoo silicone brushes normally - to help properly get buildup off of my scalp without scrubbing too hard. This is just a normal item I use alongside any shampooing, so I don't accidentally scratch my scalp/hair with my fingernails which can cause your hair to become more brittle/inflamed over time. My scalp normally feels like it is throbbing after using something like the Kirkland brand rainforest botanicals moisturizing shampoo + conditioner. Pantene is not as intense, but still get a throbbing sensation (probably from the dry, winter climate). Though this product (Dove Damage Therapy Derma Shampoo) does contain fragrance - it is half the price of the other dry/itchy scalp options - and, still works pretty well compared to using normal shampoo.

This shampoo solve all my hair problems...life long problems are solved by this shampoo. And this is a myth that a shampoo can only for cleansing of hair... From first wash i saw the result........ My hair fall & dandruff reduced.....Thank you so much Dr. Nivedita Dadu.... 😊

On my second bottle and the dandruff and scaling and itch is gone. I use it only twice a week.

I’ve only used it three times so far. I’m not sure whether my scalp dryness has improved, but the dandruff has definitely reduced—about 50% after the first wash and around 90% after the second wash. My scalp used to look like white snow, but now it’s much clearer and the itchiness has reduced a lot. I also had a few pimples on my scalp; most of them have gone down in size and there’s no more itching.
