Warm! But a bit snug...
For starters, this bag is an excellent value and a very nicely made product. I am also a huge fan of TETON products and own an Explorer 4000 pack. I've tested this bag down to -5 F inside of a hot tent and survived somewhat comfortably (really warm until the stove went out). My sleep system on that test consisted of a lightweight cot, closed-cell foam mat, inflatable pad (R-value of 4.5), sleeping bag liner, an inflatable pillow, and the LEEF 0F bag. Additionally, I wore appropriate base layers, was well hydrated, and had a warm meal with tea before bed. The temperatures that night ranged from a low of -5F at 1 AM to a high of about 4F at 6 AM. I am aware that -5F is below the rating for this bag, but it still performed well. I say I survived somewhat comfortably because the bag would come open during normal tossing and turning in the night, letting in some cold air that would wake me up. I would then re-seal the bag and drift back to sleep. I had the zipper all the way closed and the velcro strap secured, too. I think it kept coming open due to the bag being a bit snug around my shoulders. I am of a larger build at 6' and 215 pounds and I purchased the regular size. The length was perfect and there was actually plenty of wiggle room around the legs, feet, and waist area. I just ran into an issue with the width at the shoulders that makes it a bit difficult to get the bag fully closed and can cause it to come open with movement. That is literally my only complaint and its not a major issue for me. I would recommend this bag for casual winter camping, hot tenting, and early spring/late fall camping. Pros: - Durable outer shell fabric and very soft interior lining - Included compression sack. Packs down to a decent size for a 0F bag. - Comfortable and warm - Good color options - Decent weight, not too heavy but certainly not ultralight. Cons: - A bit snug by my shoulders - Interior pocket could use a zipper, rather than a single velcro strap.

the best sleeping bag for the apocalypse
I love this sleeping bag. If i were to have one sleeping bag for the apocalypse, it would be my 0degree leef. Why? It's not just a value for the money, though obviously, this is the best value-for-money sleeping bag on the market. It's because it is general purpose and durable. Is it really a 0 degree bag? I don't know. When its in the mid-30s I wear long underwear and sleep curled up, and then am completely fine (for reference, I am a cold sleeper. No bag is ever warm enough once it approaches freezing). If it's colder than that, I'd wear more clothes. I don't think it's really a 0 degree bag, maybe a 15-20 degree bag. But: it's durable and synthetic. Synthetic bags are cheaper, slightly heavier, and don't pack down as well. But when they rip, you can just keep using them, or patch them up. When they get wet, they still keep you warm. If you cowboy camp, a synthetic bag is better. If you're not expecting to just be able to buy a new sleeping bag, a synthetic bag is better. This bag is light enough that if you need you can bring it backpacking. I might not suggest it for a thru-hike. i lived out of a backpack and cowboy camped most nights for ten years, and a big ole synthetic sleeping bag is about the best thing in the world. When it was too hot, I just unzipped it. When it was too cold, I just wore more clothes. Now, it's NOT the apocalypse. It might be nicer to have a down sleeping bag for backpacking, or one that is rated for warmer than 0 degrees for most seasons. This isn't the best sleeping bag for most situations. It's just the one that CAN work for all of them. If i were to own one sleeping bag, it's this one.

Worth the price, but,,,
I haven't taken this camping yet, so I have nothing to say about its temperature rating. I have 'fitted it' and found a couple points, that may be nothing burgers to most, but to me were a little off-putting. First off, not my first bag in any way. What it is: is my first LEFTY bag. All of my bags in the past have been right hand zip, and this one is on the left. Its a little disorienting, and difficult to zip of for that reason. (not a dig on the zipper which worked flawlessly, more my fumbling efforts to be 'southpaw-ed' ) Second point was the shoulder width. I am broad shouldered and found the bag to be a touch snug there. Length wise, its perfect. The good points. The inner liner is excellent for comfort and gives a warmth right off the bat, even if the bag is cold. The head pocket feels much thicker than ANY other bag I have had, and should help keep even more heat retained on those cold nights. The cinch cord is easily tucked out of the way so you don't have to worry it. Futher review after I have an overnight with it. Post camp out udate: two nights out, temps dropped into low thirties, never noticed until I needed to get out of the bag. A good pad helped, but the bag itself was toasty warm with no cold spots, even when I slipped off center of the thermorest pad i was using.

NOT A BACKPACKING/HIKING SLEEPING BAG. TOO LARGE
Looks like it could be a great sleeping bag, but it is way to bulky and large for a backpacking sleeping bag. I've bought several other bags that are much more compact and just as warm. This will take up a lot of room in your pack if you take it on an overnight backpacking/hiking trip.

Ultralight, Ultra-Comfy, Ultra-Awesome!
Absolutely love this sleeping bag! It’s super comfortable, warm, and perfect for chilly nights outdoors. The ultralight design makes it easy to pack and carry, which is great for backpacking trips. Quality materials and smart design—highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable and cozy sleeping

Nice bag. A little small
The bag itself is well made. I got the zero degree version and I have no doubt this would keep me warm most nights unless the temperature got below like 15 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm giving it three stars because even though they give you the specifications and they're very good about it prior to ordering. The problem is you don't process it cuz you're used to bags made for normal size people and this one definitely runs a little small. the shoulder width is rather narrow and constricting. I'm a normal size adult to Unfortunately the only other option is the large I wish they would just spend a little more money by more material and make the bag a normal size for a normal adult.

Awesome
Nice and warm on those cold nights up in the mountains, the mummy bag design means less area to keep warm with your body heat. Larger sleeping bags with the same rating I’ve found not to be as warm. It’s nice how the smaller bag takes up less space, and if you had to you could put this smaller sleeping bag inside a bigger one for a really cold winter nights in the north.
