Meter works great for a non professional performing various tests at home or automobile. Auto test setting is great, especially when switching from testing continuity to voltage and forgetting to change the setting. What I didn't know is the test wire lead plugs at the meter are smaller diameter than standard, so if you planned on using your old test leads, it won't work.

It's tiny, but powerful with the multitude of uses. Great as a backup meter or even primary if you need one on occasion. The smart mode took a bit for me to get used to, but it does work accurately for the necessary testing settings. It'll take the guesswork out for experienced users, but for someone learning, as long as they're paying attention to the symbols and the modes, they'll learn it much quicker instead of guessing which is the appropriate setting.It comes with two sets of 2032 batteries (4 total) and a set of probes that are adequate for the meter. I'm unsure of the battery life, but the backlight is off by default and should extend the life if using only the LCD display. This is my first experience utilizing a meter with lithium button cells, but I have plenty of experience dealing with leaking alkaline cells sitting in these for long periods and ruining things.If you can get this with the 50% off coupon at $15, this is a total steal and makes an excellent DMM for a hobby tool kit.
