Best tape ever for keeping rugs down preventing tripping.
I cannot find this tape anymore in stores. Why I don’t know. It’s by far the best tape for keeping rugs or carpets down to PREVENT TRIPPING. Easy to apply and remove when it needs replacing from getting shabby. It’s invisible too. It stays in place and I cannot be without it. It’s strong and does the job amazingly. I take no chances with carpets and rugs anymore as I had a serious trip on the corner of a rug that cost me a year of orthopedic visits and lots of physical therapy. Not worth it, USE THIS TAPE FOR KEEPING CARPETS SOLIDY STUCK TO FLOOR OR OTHER CARPETS…..BRILLIANTLY-DOES THE JOB.

Works much better than I was even hoping.
After six months of use, I feel this tape has earned a lot of praise. One of my neighbors damaged a 60 gallon rolling recycle bin - the kind that looks like a trash container. Ours are picked up by a city truck with a mechanical arm that grabs the bin, whips it overhead to the truck's open container, and then shakes the contents out of the bin and finally bangs it down on the pavement to pick up the next one. In short, these bins are used pretty hard.Anyway, one of our bins got its side caved in by misuse, with a jagged crack running about 18" vertically and 12" horizontally. The damage was so severe the city agreed to swap us a replacement.Just for yucks, I bought this mending tape, to see what it would do. First, we forced the broken pieces back into alignment and washed them off so we'd have a clean surface for the tape. Then, holding the pieces together we taped over all the crack, both inside and outside the container.Six months later - 15 recycling pickups - the bin works as good as new. Last week, it was around 10 degrees on recycling day, but the tape held and the bin didn't crack while being manhandled by the city. To my surprise, it's hard to spot the broken bin - it looks just like the others, unless you know where to look. Six months of exposure to sunlight hasn't made any apparent difference. (This is Michigan, so maybe I should wait a few years. We don't get much sun.)Anyway, the point of this review is simply to affirm that 3M's tape really works, in situations where there's considerable stress. I guess the tensile strength is roughly equal to the strength of the original bin with its 1/8" thick plastic walls.

Very good tape
Doesn't stick as well as Gorilla clear, but it works well & is more economical

You can use this for anything!
This is my second purchase of this tape. It may be a little pricey but it has so many uses, it is well worth it. It will repair anything vinyl and be almost invisible. That includes things like raincoats. I've used it to fixed curtain rods and hang banners outside. It is excellent to seal boxes; I could go on and on. The adhesion is great. It stays on until you take it off. So far, I have not had any problems from damage while taking it off. I am not saying that won't happen, but that has not been my experience so far. Highly recommend.

3 years and still holding
3 years ago I broke this cheap disposable food container. I taped it with this 3m repair tape as a temporary solution. Since I had just moved in to my house and had no other options for food storage, I taped it and since I wasn’t storing something heavy or liquid it would be fine. It worked wonderfully!!! I use this container for everything from cut watermelon to left over pizza. I even marinate my meat in this!! I’ve never had to replace the tape. I forget it’s there most times but noticed it today, was once again impressed by its strength and longevity and here we are writing a review. It’s thick, 100% waterproof, easy to use, needs scissors to cut, best tape ever of all Evers.

Holds well, but adhesive starts to ooze over time
I tried to fix a pair of Beats headphones that suffer from the usual plastic separation on the steel band. After a few months, this turned into a mess. The tape slid around, allowing the adhesive to ooze from the sides, making handling the headphones yucky. Also, hair would stick to the adhesive and get pulled when removing the headphones. I finally removed this tape. The adhesive residue was eventually removed with some 99% isopropyl alcohol.I used two small zip-ties instead on the headset, which works OK for now.

Just WOW!
We got hit by three hurricanes summer before last. After the dramas of trying to get a new roof and a new fence built during a pandemic, and Aside from all the clean-up leaving me shell shocked, the experiences opened my eyes to the smallest places where rain might get in. We have these panes on the back of the house with frames that have cracked with age. No sealant has ever worked or held up. But this repair tape has been just the ticket. What a relief to have finally found something that works.UPDATE: Months have passed since I applied this tape inside and out, and it is still water-tight. We have had some big storms, with wind and rain coming straight at the panes I taped. No water got in. Impressive.UPDATE #2: Well, it has been about a year now I guess. The tape is still working! The only downside I can see is the moisture under the tape outside has made the paint funky.I plan to remove the outside tape if we get a cooler day, clean and paint, dry, then replace with new tape.Or not. That seems very ambitious.

Great Stuff!
It's a little pricey, but so far, it's in a league of its own! It has just the right amount of stretch, adhesive, transparency, strength, and ease of use!
