I read reviews before purchasing. Many reviews say that the pump is noisy and that it gets hot. So I built an insulated box with a fan. I have had no problems with it so far. The pump heats up to about 80f. Inside of the box, it sounds like a fish tank air bubbler pump. It would be a little much for in the house with nothing to buffer the sound.. it’s about the same volume as a compressor..

The air compressor runs stably without loud noise; I am very satisfied.

I put this in my basement and ran hoses up to my aquariums to reduce the noise in the house with several small pumps running… it does get very warm so keep that in mind when choosing a place to keep it..and I do recommend putting check valve in it in to prevent back flow of water into the pump..

It is a wonderful pump and my fish love it.

Bigger is always better. It gave me the air I wanted, But the noise level is ridiculous. It sounds like a little generator running day and night. I just might put it on a timer

Works well, it's powerful. Only downside is that it's a little bit noisy, so I put it in the closet and it's much better.
