Walthers Cornerstone Series® HO Scale Railroad Tugboat

First of all this is a big tugboat! So if you’re Look’n for something for a tiny space review the specs on this beast! It’s 3.5” by 13” long. It is a basic styrene kit that can be assembled in a day with some detail, but nothing that will blow your mind just out of the box. I will be adding a fair amount of detail parts and a thorough, precise, airbrushed paint job. After some additions it can definitely be a centerpiece in a diorama or an HO scale layout. Comes with a very nice sheet of water slide decals that lets you choose which railroad or tug you want to model. It is a waterline model, meaning it has a flat bottom to give it the illusion of floating on a flat surface. Overall nice kit for all levels of builders, a little pricey, but most model kits are.

A difficult model kit to find, but it arrived timely and well packaged. I haven't constructed a kitset in many, many, years, so this will be an interesting experience. After that, I have two others (kits) to complete, the matching rail float and the float apron setup.On first inspection, the kit seems complete and undamaged. It's not a fiddly little tugboat, so the larger size, even though it's HO scale, will help during its assembly.Bazza
