The embroidered hearts are a nice touch which adds texture without distraction. Bought for my 1 yo's birthday party outfit -- these are soft, inexpensive, go on easy, and she didn't take them off (yay!) for the length of the party. They aren't hard-soled which would be better for a walker like her, but the party was indoors so it wasn't an issue. I don't think these are, like, super-amazing-high-quality-forever-shoes that will last and last, but for the price they are exactly what I hoped for. I ordered a size 12-18 months and my daughter is 12 months so they fit a bit big but it was expected. She could still walk comfortably in them. They are a bit wider that other shoes but it works for my daughter because she has wide feet.
