Can the clamp fit on a kitchen counter or it’s only good for a grooming table?

It opens wide, the table is not smooth it’s gritty. It doesn’t mark it up it scratch table, but it will fit

Will this hold a hose from the floor dryer professional style

Yes. As long as the end of your floor dryer is a stiff plastic and no bigger then 2” this is a estamate. I use MDC Romani granddaddy dryers and the end of that hose fits perfectly.

Would this work for a person who has difficulty holding their dryer up if able to be clamped to the vanity in the bathroom?

I think you would be pleased with the adjustability. Just be sure your bathroom vanity has an edge similar to that of the grooming table so that it can be clamped securely.

How wide is the clamp? will it work on a best in show trolley?

The bottom part is 1 3/4" wide and the part in top of the table is 3". I don't think it would fit on my mini double decker. If yours has bars set further apart it might.
