Great kit for any retro. I used it to replace the old T5 bulbs in my 29 BioCube and I couldn't be happier with these lights. After installation I realized that if I ran a second one of these lights off of one of their splitters that I could get even better coverage. That's just what I did and it has turned out to be absolutely wonderful!

altho the ramping timer isn't a seamless as the usa current orbit is the light its self puts my orbit marine light to shame! the par and spectrum are same as the $300 medallion lights. I have mine on a IM nuzo10 and at top im getting close to 200 par and at the bottom 105par, that will meet the needs for all types of coral. don't wait its all you need for a great nano reef tank happy reefing folks

Very nice unit with high quality construction with 2 exceptions. First, there is a white LED in the blue channel and a blue LED in the white channel. If you are hoping to use the blue channel for moonlight or actinic dawn/dusk it looks pretty dumb because, if the unit is close to the surface, you get an unpleasant white area in an otherwise blue landscape. It is also a little too bright for moonlight. Also, the screws holding the end caps on the unit are too small and can easily strip out if you pull a little too hard when extending the mounting feet. I solved my white LED issue with a blue filter GEL and replaced the screws with slightly larger ones.
