Kate Naturals Mineral Oil for Wood Cutting Board, Food Grade, Odorless, 8oz

I got this 8 oz jar of Kate Naturals food grade mineral oil for the woman while she is refinishing her cutting boards and it has been a solid choice for the job. The oil is odorless and clear so it does not leave any weird smell or sticky film once it soaks in and the food safe formula works on wood bamboo and even stainless without issues. Quality feels pure and consistent the 8 oz size lasts through multiple boards and the price was good for a simple protective oil that actually absorbs instead of sitting on top forever. She uses it to condition and protect the boards after sanding and it brings the wood back to looking decent while sealing it against moisture. Not some fancy conditioned blend but for basic food safe mineral oil that does the refinishing work without drama it gets the boards ready and keeps them from drying out. I purchased this natural mineral oil after I purchased a new cutting board. The cutting board manufacturer recommended oiling the board daily for one week prior to use. The oil I received was an excellent product, with a food grade rating which is important when using on your kitchen cutting boards. The product absorbs easily with no smell and a clear appearance. I'd recommend this product to anyone finding the need for cutting board oil. I even freshened up my older wooden cutting boards, making them look like new again!

Great product I I’ve been getting rid of plastic and switching to wood cutting boards and wood utensils, I immediately got out my wooden cutting board and applied it . There was no odor.simple directions and easy to apply . Made my cutting board look so much better , The price was great because I thought I was buying mineral oil for cutting boards but it will also shine your kitchen appliances big and small.

Many have said they received a leaking bottle. I was lucky as the inner seal was not completely adhered, as some have also noted. The bottle seemed to leak from beneath the cap so a slippery film remained on the bottle. I think there is a quality control issue with the bottle that should be looked into. As for the contents, it works well, no odor. I tried it on an old wood cutting board and it worked amazingly well. I look forward to using it on my new cutting boards.

My cutting board was really dry. This oil soaked into it and gave it a beautiful shine, without making it greasy. Great product.
