When it comes to shipping & transporting 50lbs is the cutoff between a 2man vs 1 man lift. **Q: Chair will no longer fold. Has anyone had this problem and how did you remedy it?** A: I have experienced the problem, For me, it was because the chair was folded so tight the two axle bolts interlockied when the wheel bolts overlapped in the folded position; the threads on the bolts interlocked and made it nearly impossible to pull apart. You have to push the wheels apart to separate the bolts. Heavy tape or rubber/synthetic bolt covers prevent this from happening. **Q: I am a big girl. 250lbs. must use wheelchair for shopping, site seeing ie: zoo, parks, etc. will this chair hold me comfortably or break** A: I’m 265-270 pounds and it seems to be holding me. Just purchased yesterday. **Q: Why can’t this item be shipped to Hawaii?** A: I send my brother things to the big island and it just has to go to the nearest post office/ mail service location closest to you that Amazon will allow, try adding the different addresses (talk to the post office and make sure they do pick ups, I have a lot of addresses in my Amazon because of this kinda thing). My brother's wife has to drive to pick up a lot of different things though some items agree to send to their address, it never delivers to them it just stops at whatever is closest when I do it that way then they sometimes drive further. This wheel chair exceeds all expectations. I love the easy side guards that swing back easily with a gentle movement of release lever. The wheel tires are very hard and roll easily. I weigh 300 pounds and there is no flexing of wheel chair over uneven terrain. the only thing missing is a cup holder and cell phone holder but that was an easy fix. There is a very useful pocket on the back of seat for carrying small goodies. And the best thing of all. It was a very reasonable price. Far less than the disabled equipment stores want that start at $1200 and climb up from there. Also folds up very easily for putting into trunk or back seat of your automobile. it weighs about 40 pounds which is a little heavy but manageable. I love the color options and I picked blue . Has an upbeat look to it . it is very well designed ergonomically. I needed a little wider because the common 18 inch feels a little too tight so I ordered the 20 inch and it's perfect. Has enough room to slide a drink bottle beside your hip if needed. UPDATE: I've used this wheel chair for several months now. this is a great wheel chair. it has several features I really like , arm rests that can be moved up and away so easily, light weight, strong (I'm 335 pounds) so easy to fold up and stuff into the car trunk and transport. foot rest positioning is great and so easy to install and remove. There is only one down side which I resolved. ..The wheels were too close to side of chair so I got longer bolts and shimmed each side out one inch. I have big hands and I found they were getting pinched. I do not recommend to do this as it could jeopardize the safety features of this chair possibly. , but in my case it was a must do to make it useable for me. I see no issue for people with average size hands.
