Fantastic!
I used the joystick and two of the buttons to create a joystick compatible with 8-bit computers from the 1980's. The joystick is such a pleasure to use compared to virtually anything from the era. I was a little concerned that part of the joystick mechanism is plastic but so far it has not been an issue.

A steal of a deal!
Great for the price. The bottons are a little clicky and hollow to the touch. The joystick has alittle more center and free play than say a sanwa but it is a great deal for the money spent. It does indeed seam to be a zero delay. My opinion would be get this kit if you are looking to put together a cheap but good arcade stick. If you are serious about stick travel buy this kit but switch the stick for a sanwa. If you are building a DIY arcade stick and using the single acrylic case these buttons do fit but the sanwa buttons do not. The sanwa stick can be switched with no problem. Used with a single acrylic DIY case and retropie 4.4.

Good cheap buttons.
Buttons are nice and clicky, simple to assemble and works well so far. Since these buttons are pressure fit they do require a fairly precise and even hole to stay in place. Not quite as forgiving as the screw ring type but they seem to work well. They don't feel as good as the style with a actual microswitch at the bottom but these are much cheaper. The USB controller works on Linux, and retropie without issue.

Very Average Quality
It's been around a week since I got this set of arcade parts. I've noticed that it's of very average quality. What I mean by that is the plastic is cheap (Some connectors on the USB Encoder and some parts of the buttons either broke or were showing signs of wear), the button's tactile feedback doesn't always line up with the input (you hear the click but the input doesn't go through until a few milliseconds later), and there isn't any included mounting screws for the USB encoder or stick. The stick itself is fine, but the buttons definitely aren't worth it. I'm planning on switching them out for proper Sanwa buttons.

Buttons don't fit well
If you're very precise at cutting holes in your enclosure, this kit might be ok. These are the pressure-sensitive buttons that push into a hole and, if you push them too hard (like when gaming), they can pop through. I had to buy a different set of buttons that use nuts to keep them in place because the buttons that came with this just wouldn't stop falling through my project box. Maybe if you cut your holes at just the right size and don't game too hard, these will be ok.Also, the red ball on the top of the joystick doesn't screw in tightly and has come off for me a bunch of times.

- Price is excellent - Easy to install/build in a diy arcade stick ...
Pros:- Price is excellent- Easy to install/build in a diy arcade stick project- Truly appears to be a “zero delay” encoder as the product claimsCons:- Joystick doesn’t respond precisely to direction pushed at times- Button presses aren’t consistent: sometimes they require harder presses than normalA good set overall for a price that can’t be beaten.

Joysticks are not so good, but ok for the price
For the price its hard to beat, the joystick is “OK” for casual games, but dont expect to pull off moves in street fighter, its not good for fighters at all. What pissed me off is i ordered 2 of these and got 2 different joysticks, they dont look the same... buttons are ok and everything is very easy to set up with the zero delay usb port. First time i make an arcade stick it looks amazing, people think it cost me a fortune but total cost for materials was 75$! Get a genuine sanwa or happ stick if you wanna play fighters, but for a low budget project its okEdit: it helps if you buy octogonal gates for fighters, i didnt know when i bought the sticks, so 4 stars
