Xuron - 450AS Tweezer Nose Pliers - ESD Safe Grips

I do a bunch of hobbyist electronics projects and usually use precision tweezers for grabbing onto surface mount devices like resistors, capacitors, and small ICs as well as for soldering small jumper wires where needed. I've been doing it that way for years. While the precision of a fine tweezer is wonderful, they lack the gripping power and rigidity of pliers. Buying this pair of tweezer nose pliers has been been the second best thing I have ever done for electronics work (with a proper soldering iron being the best). These give you a great level of precision without being too bulky or getting in the way all while lending you a much better grip on your part! This has been wonderful when shaping thicker wire for power connections, pulling through hole leads tight to the board, and pulling on leads when desoldering! PROS: Very slim jaws are great for getting into tight areas Precise gripping area at the tip of the jaws Rigid hinge keeps jaws aligned and parts from slipping out under pressure Light spring to help keep jaws open Comfortable hand grips CONS: Gripping area is limited to the tip of the jaws and not the whole length Small overall, may not be comfortable for those with large hands Wonderful value, solid tool, highly recommended!

Bought two of these to use for permanent jewelry and they are perfect for small spaces in the jewelry world! Great grip and lasting quality- still using two years later!

This is my favorite pair of pliers, and I have a lot of pliers. They are precise and come to a fine tip. They're perfect for bending metal wire and jewelry making. The action is smooth and the handles' shape is easy to hold. The grips are likewise comfortable and non-slip. These ESD-safe grip pliers were less expensive than the standard version. I don't need the ESD protection and can't speak to its efficacy. The square nose of these pliers makes creating 90 degree bends a breeze. The small size of the tips is very useful for jewelry making. I have loved every Xuron product I've bought, and this is no exception.

I love these pliers. They are sturdy and well made and I can get into small areas and open small jumprings as well as helps with wire wrapping. These are a great brand that’s a good compromise between the cheap 9 dollar tools and the expensive 45-75 per tool sets. I am replacing all my tools I can with this brand.
