Way better than rotary for shaved head.
I was complaining to Grok and asking it if there were any rotaries which had more space for holding hair as mine would continuously get clogged and need to be emptied a number of times per shave. I have tried FreeBird as well as bulldog and have had the same problems, with FreeBird being the worst of the two for cheap heads and having them go dull extremely quickly. After using the LifeProof, I will not be going back to rotary in the foreseeable future. I have been using it a few weeks now and it is much easier, shaves closer, and I could likely go a month or more without ever cleaning the thing. It is long-lasting, and if something ever happens to this I will simply buy another. I very much like this one, I get it done in about 5 minutes per day and the close shave and ease of use make it a very much non-hassle so it gets done everyday or every other day and I don't run into problems because it is a pain. 100% recommend, would absolutely buy again.

Better than Braun
I bought the Wahl LifeProof shaver to replace an old Braun Series 7. I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the Series 7, which frankly is a money pit. I had abandoned its ridiculous cleaning cartridge system years ago and I was dreading yet another $40+ screen/cutter replacement! I wanted a screen shaver (how do they still sell rotary shavers?!) with good battery life and a long-whisker cutter. I had been limping along with a travel shaver with no long-whisker feature. If I went the whole weekend without shaving, Monday am became a 30-minute ordeal! The long-whisker blade is crucial. My first impression of the Wahl, right out of the box, was that it felt lightweight and "cheap" (and very yellow!). BUT, I soon realized that it's lightness makes it nimble and a pleasure to use. It is actually a very solid machine and gives a great shave. The screen head is very easy to remove for cleaning. This is also my first waterproof shaver, which makes cleaning even easier. I recommend it very highly. PART 2 I split time staying at my girlfriend's house, so I wanted a shaver there, too. I was torn between the Wahl and my loyalty to Braun, so I also bought a Braun Series 3 Wet-Dry, which looks classier in the GF's medicine cabinet! The Braun 3 is heavier and louder than the Wahl. The sound is "jangly" and annoying, while the Wahl's buzz is "smooth". The shaving performance of the two is identical. Both shavers are also equal to the 7 Series in performance, so I'm glad I saved (literally) hundreds of dollars!

Very good product for the price, compared to other brands with similar models
Overall, I recommend this electric shaver. I previously used Philips-Norelco triple-head rotary models for several years and recently decided to try something new. At the time of this review, I have been using the Wahl model for about 2 months. PROS: - Gives a good shave, about the same closeness/effectiveness as other electric razors I have used. Nothing special, but it works as well as I need it to. - You'd think the lack of a travel case would be a con, but this shaver is built like the M1 Abrams of razors and does not need a case. It has a standard travel lock feature that prevents activation of the razor by holding the button down for a few seconds. - Great battery life. I have not let the battery run all the way out yet, but I used it for roughly 12 shaves over about 3 weeks in between charges at one point with no issues. - Easy to clean, even just using water. CONS: - It takes nearly twice as long to get a full shave done compared to previous triple-rotary models I have used...can't really explain why. - There is no battery life indicator. You'd think this would be a relatively easy feature to include, but perhaps that is why this model is cheaper than others. It's easy to work around, as the battery life is very good, but it's slightly annoying. Supposedly if the battery does run out, you can charge it enough to get a full shave in about 5 minutes, though I have not tried it myself. - This may just be my own bad luck, but the product was advertised to come with a cleaning brush (it is even shown on the box), and I could not find a brush--or even a place for one--anywhere in the packaging. It looked like it would be a pretty big brush for an electric shaver and I looked freakin' everywhere for it before I threw out the packaging, but it never turned up. Thankfully I had a couple old ones from other shavers that work fine, so it wasn't a big deal, but it was weird. Again, overall I recommend this product and feel that the pros outweigh the cons. It's a good choice for the price if you think it might be what you're looking for.

Very good shaver!
Bought this shaver to replace my 10-year-old Norelco, and I've been using it for about two months now I like the bright yellow color - if you're travelling, you're less likely to leave it behind. It shaves nice and close - leaving my face as smooth as a baby's bottom. So far I've never had a problem with battery life. I think I've charged it twice since I've had it, and it was fully charged in half an hour. The shaver's very easy to clean - remove the head, tap the head and body against each other, and you're done. I haven't used it "wet", although you can. This shaver does its best job when used daily. Sometimes I'd let my beard grow for two or three days and my old Norelco would chop it right off. Shaving takes longer with this one if you've neglected shaving for a day or two. One thing I wish they'd change is the charge indicator, which is a bright blue dot that makes it hard to tell if the LED underneath is on or not. All in all, though, I'm very happy with it. CORRECTION: The blue dot on the charge indicator is actually a sticker. When peeled off, the indicator is invisible unless the shaver is charging.

Just a piece of chinese JUNK! DON'T BUY!!!
UPDATE: I've only had this shaver for 5 months, and already, it's DEAD!! Won't turn on or recharge. DEAD! Shame on you, Whal for more crappy chinese JUNK. Was doing great, just getting ready for a replacement cutter set when it just died. A $48 piece of chinese JUNK!! DONT BUT THIS CRAP!! Original review now rescinded: I'm comparing this shaver to a Braun Series 3 and Series 5. The Series 5 is a piece of junk and not worth the money. I bring it into this review because this Wahl shaver has many of the same features. The Braun Series 3 is a great shaver, but with a NiMh battery, it doesn't last all that well. This Wahl has a Li-ion battery that lasts about 2 weeks of shaving. It's easy to clean in the shower, and the sideburn trimmer is really good...much better than the Braun. The replacement cutters are about the same price on Amazon as the Braun, but I have not needed one yet. The Wahl seems to be staying sharp much longer than the Brauns do. This Wahl also has the "floating" shave head like the Braun Series 5. It really doesn't do all that much, but I can certainly tell the difference from the Series 3. I would definitely recommend this shaver if you're into shaving in the shower like I am. I've been doing it for years, and I have to say, this is the best experience yet!! A side hint...you can keep the cutters a little sharper by putting some 3-in-1 oil that has the Teflon in it, on the cutters and letting the shaver run for about 5-minutes before you charge it up each time. I've done this for years, too, and the cutters stay sharp and last much longer!

WAS GREAT FOR ABOUT 7 MONTHS----THEN----
In comparison to other electric shavers (2 that were between $250 & $300) that are supposedly the best, this one by far is a better product. The only noticeable difference is the plastic feels a little cheap compared to other sturdier shavers. The cost alone had me wanting to buy another just to store away for when my original no longer works. I can't attest to the durability of this product yet but so far it shaves perfectly and effectively. With every electric shaver I've had there has been some difficulty getting rid of the hairs on my neck including this one but I'll use the pop up trimmer and then a safety razor afterwards. Again, with the price of this compared to the Br••• shavers I had, this one didn't pull hairs out (what an uncomfortable feeling that is), gives an amazing shave and is a quarter of the price. Try it out. I look for things that work perfectly so I don't have to continue to search, I've found a perfect electric shaver. ****UPDATE**** One year later, well almost, the foil has broken on me for the SECOND TIME. It seems the cutter block had caught the foil and made a tiny gouge in it deeming the shaver practically useless unless you want to rip hairs from your face. The first time was about 4 months ago. I called WAHL directly and spoke to a very helpful representative who was willing to and did send me a replacement foil for free within a couple of days. Although she tried to blame me by saying I pressed too hard on my face with the shaver, I'm pretty sure that wasn't the case. Especially nowTthat it's happened for a second time. I'll call again and see what they say but it's now becoming a little bit of an inconvenience. I guess the fact remains that you get what you pay for. Now I'm back on Amazon researching electric shavers again.....

Nice shave, better trimmer!
I usually buy Remington Foil Shavers, but their pop-up trimmers always seem to break. So I saw that this Wahl Foil Shaver had a different style of pop-up trimmer, and decided to try it. I must say that I was skeptical at first, but so far it has proven to be more secure than the Remington product. I shaves nice too, and it's easy to clean.

Husband really likes this!
I bought a Wahl shaver for my husband back in 1997 after listening to Paul Harvey on the radio talk about how it was such a great shaver. My husband loved the first one because of it slide up trimmer. I’ve since bought a few different shavers, but haven’t been able to find another one with the pop-up trimmer. So. When I ran across this one, it had everything he liked in a shaver and decided to get it for his Christmas gift. Last week he told me how happy he was with it. He told me he liked that it was water resistant though he would likely seldom use it that way. He has Rhumatoid arthritis and says that he really likes how easy it is to hold it in his hands. He says it’s very comfortable and gave him a nice close shave with no stubble. He likes to shave dry and says that his face is nice and smooth and has no problem with razor burn. It’s very effective. And he really likes this one better than the last couple ones I’ve bought in the past several years. I would have to say that considering the price, we definitely got a great value for our money.

Okay product
This seems to work well it is a little touchy on how it works. It does the job but I think I would prefer maybe getting a different one next time. Its top part is wobbly and you can't really stop it. So it works but isn't overly convenient

Não gostei
O barbeador não corta bem . O barbear acaba deixando falhas as quais preciso tirar com o aparelho gillette .

A good product for the money!
It takes a while for a good clean shave approx 10 -15 minutes! The charge lasts a long time & the fit fits well with my hands! The price is right but probably works best on a person with light beard? May not be suitable for a heavy, thick beard?

Does the job
Husband loves it and price was good.
