Unfortunately for newbies (like me) it doesn't come with instructions, so I played around with it to figure it out. But it was quickly done and installed. I've yet to use it personally but I feel at ease that it's there if I need it. It fit my hitch hole for my 04 Dodge ram quad cab reg bed easily even with it being a little rusty. As stated it comes with two keys to lock it in place. Id say it's beginner friendly installation wise and was easily figured out.
