Newparts Pentosin CHF 11S (2 x 1L Bottles) Power Steering Hydraulic System Synthetic Oil

Compared to most power steering fluids, this is pretty pricey even on Amazon. But Amazon generally has the best price. My 2006 Land Rover LR3 recommends this and to be honest I had strayed in the past to get quicker/easier fluids when needed. But my last overhaul where I replaced the power steering pump and all the lines with OEM - even put in a new reservior - I went with CHF 11S. I am sure the new fluid helps, but the system feels so much better now.

I went to Advance Auto Parts, Auto Zone, as well as, Napa, and all wanted over $40 plus for one can. Which is absolutely ridiculous!!! I always purchase my Pentosen fluids and oil on Amazon. You just can't beat the value! This is the top fluid recommend by Mercedes for ABC systems and power steering systems. I use it all the the time after a flush works great! Top Quality!

For 2014 VW Touareg. For what ever reason I did not think the PS fluid tank was low or empty. Ever since I bought my Tregg in 2014, I've been hearing this low whining and humming noise when turning the steering wheel. I thought it was because of the hydraulic system at work. Over the years I've checked just by glancing at the tank only to see some fluid just half way below the notch. I did not think twice that it needed to be top off. Until a week ago I felt a light vibration on the steering wheel while trying to pass other vehicles at highway speed. The whining and humming noise was a little bit louder than before. Once I parked the vehicle. I decided to check the power steering fluid level...actually opening the lid and look inside... only to find that the tank was almost bone dry, barely had any fluid at the bottom. At home, I logged on to Amazon site and ordered this product recommended for VW Touareg. Upon delivery, as soon as possible... I topped it off and took it for a drive around the neighborhood ensuring that I did a full left and right turn, more than once. What I did or did not noticed...was the "NOISE" that I have been hearing the past 10 years... that hydraulic noise, no humming or wining. THERE WAS NOT A NOISE!! For the first time in 10 years I did not hear the hydraulic noise. Not trying to give credit to this product. It was my fault for not regularly checking the fluid. But this product did the job. I recommend this to anyone.

Fluid is good quality, but my power steering is having issues. I may need new reservoir or clogged hose possibly.

I own an old Mercedes which requires this specific type of fluid for its power steering and hydraulic suspension. CHF-11s fluid is never inexpensive, but this package gives you 1 liter to add to your reservoir and another liter to hold in reserve and is about as inexpensive per liter as you're going to find anywhere.

At the auto store this stuff was already really expensive but for some reason in the last few years they doubled the price I was leery of buying a substitute from the auto store so I bought this one instead it worked great exactly what I wanted funny note I didn't really need two of these so I ended up spending the same amount as I would have at the auto store but hey I have a lot more just in case. Also if you're going to replace a power steering pump you still don't need the extra court. LOL
