Great product, but how to keep it fresh in storage? I have a solution.
Good stuff; we're all on the same page there and I don't need to review the product. My review is about how to store this product. I like Colman's a lot and buying a pound is by far the most economical way to get it, but I can't cut through a pound of it in a year. The last pound lasted me about 18 months. Oxygen is the enemy, along with light and moisture. When I get a new shipment, the first thing I do is decant most of the tin into a 16oz mason jar. Then I add a oxygen absorber packet to the jar, put a mason lid on it, and then use a vacuum machine and a mason jar vacuum attachment to pull the air out of the jar. A Ball or Kerr mason lid seals exceptionally well under vacuum & is reusable many times. Just be sure that the jar rim and underside of the lid are completely free of mustard powder before sealing. The jar goes on a high shelf in the back away from light exposure. This method keeps the mustard powder (and many other foods that contain oils) stable for a long time. After a year, I can't detect any deterioration at all. No clumping, no moisture uptake, no change in flavor or color. From time to time when I need more powder I open the jar to remove what I need, then refresh the oxygen absorber and reseal the jar with vacuum.

World's Best Mustard!!
I really love this product. Every time I go to order Chinese food, I ask for Hot Mustard. This is usually what they use to make it. I was told that the key is to add cold water in the recipe vs hot or warm water. Cold water is what gives it that bite similar to Wasabi or Horseradish. Which I love, at least a little bit at a time. ;) Just make sure to keep it in an air-tight container. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to spice up their food (even sandwiches)!!

The best mustard there is!
Colman's Mustard is the best there is. I put it in several of the breads I make. Quite expensive to buy the small, 2 ounce can, at the market. This size is considerably cheaper. If you like mustard I recommend you try this brand. Easy to mix 1 to 1 with water, let it set for a few minutes and you'll have a great condiment for sandwiches and blending into foods.

Colman's is the Best, store in Freezer
Great product. It's a 'hot' mustard - which I like. Very expensive at the local supermarkets. Although this isn't cheap, buying a full pound is better price than other options, and I use it frequently. Because I deal with humidity and 85F to 95F temps, keeping even a small container of Colman's in the cabinet causes the powder to become rock-hard fairly soon. Thus, I store this big jug in a freezer. Doesn't clump and the zero-degree F temp keeps it quite tasty (and spicy) for a long time. That's very good because it will take me a while to use it all.

Good value
Nice size. I’m always use more than I think I will. This larger size is more economical. Probably going to transfer some to a smaller container so it’s easier to handle. One star off because the can arrived damaged (but still sealed).

The gold standard in dried mustard
We have been making our own Dijon mustard for years and Coleman's dried mustard powder is the only way to go. We have always found it to be fresh and high quality.

The real 'English' mustard, so hot you can blow your socks off!
This is the third time I have purchased Colmans English Mustard Powder and definitely the second time from this supplier. Sadly, the powder I have just received has a VERY short use by date, it expires BEFORE the powder I puchased a year ago!

Huge!
My husband LOVES his Colemans mustard. Unfortunately it's very hard to find here. What we received was unexpectedly larger than what we thought we had ordered. Not a bad thing ;-) But it almost crushed our little dog Daisy. We will definitely order again when we run out :-)
