Crankbrothers F15, F10+ and F10 Multi-Tool - Chain Tool, Torx, Hex Compatible Bike Tool

Overall, this is a very nice bike tool. It's a little stiff to get the bits to fold out, but I suspect this will get better in time. It has a nice hand feel and you can get some extra torque on the wrenches if you extend out all of the tools from the opposite side to create a larger area to grab. I managed to strip a bolt on my bike with one of the hex wrenches by overtightening it, but this is not the fault of the tool, and if anything speaks to the amount of torque you can get from it. I bought this to replace a cheaper version that only lasted me one day. I showed this one to my local bike shop guy and he confirmed it was a good choice. It fits nicely in my handlebar bag and doesn't take up much room. Definitely recommend!

It may be a bit heavier, but the quality is very high. Ergonomically feels great in the hand, and the sheath can be used to help extend handle space. It even has spoke wrenches and a reasonably good chain tool. It's only downside is the form factor of small multitools means the tool body can get in the way of getting at bolts that are up against another surface. That's not point against the F15 (F10), it's just the nature of the multitools. It's well put together, well thought out, looks and feels good. I've bought two for myself and another for a friend.

This multi-tool has all the standard bits that you would expect for maintenance on the trail. I really like the sliding case cover with smooth sides that are flat, which means it's not bumpy in your pack or pocket, it doesn't catch on things when you draw it out. I've used it a number of times and it does exactly what is expected. Sometimes I wish the bits were a little longer, but I did want it to be compact so I got what I asked for. Sturdy and high quality. I would recommend this.

It has everything you could need on the go, it is pretty slim so you can keep it almost everywhere. The only flaw i find is the black bolt in the chain tool, the rest of the parts feel very sturdy but that bolt feeld of very cheap metal and it broke after few uses, it may be my fault but i would asume it could take the pressure while i was removing a chain but it snap before i could remove the chain link. I replaced that with a bolt from bike parts that fit perfectly after i grind it, which feels far more sturdy than the original one. The rest of the tool works amazing i do recommend it just keep in mind that you need to be careful with the chain tool otherwise you'll make obsolete a piece of the tool

Honestly, quite a bit larger and heaver than what I am accustomed to for tools. I made room for it in my gravel bike's saddle bag by ditching the 2nd C02 canister. Pro's: the chain tool is substantial, and is driven by the center hex key - a good design. I also needed the Torx bit which my other kit didn't have (found that out the hard way). Overall, it's very well made & I trust the brand. The tools is very well rated, so that's saying something in itself. Cons: Metal case adds bulk and weight with little real purpose; I may leave that behind. Even without, it's heaver than I would've liked, and weight is my enemy on hills. Not sure yet if magnetic = rust. If having seen in person rather than on-line, I would've have passed for something with a smaller form factor, but that''s just my preference. However, as I now own it, I'll make it work.

I've owned the Crankbrothers M19 multitool and found it to be very useful. However, the F15 is much more compact and lighter weight while still possessing each of the key functionalities. I can slip it into a small saddle pack and eliminate the need for a backpack or hip pack.

The CrankBrothers F15 is everything you want in a multitool in a small magnetic case. I bought the F15 because probably like most of you, I saw it on Berm Peak formally known as Seth's Bike Hacks and the quality of the tool shown on camera shines through. Anyways, this is a great tool and I strongly recommend it. The only cons are that it's a bit on the pricier side of the spectrum and mine came with one side a tad wider so you had to force it into the case a bit, but I fixed that easily using two Allen keys and tightening it up a bit and now it works perfectly. So I'll leave you with this, life's short and you have to treat yourself sometimes otherwise what's the point of all the work you do, or you could go down the simpler route and get the multitool because you think it looks cool. I own the M19 and have purchased the M17 as a gift in the past, of which I am a massive fan of those multi-tools. However, after purchasing the F15 for its size and features, my M19 has been relegated to my commuter bag as taking it out of the case to use it now feels inefficient in comparison. I debated for a while between a few different multi-tools before getting this one and the biggest takeaway has been that any multi-tool is better than no multi-tool when you're half way through your ride and you realize your derailleur is out of adjustment or your stem has come loose. As far as the F15 goes, however, it feels very sturdy and is compact enough that you don't mind carrying it in your pocket even for relatively short rides around town. The magnetic case is a particularly nice touch - it feels very secure and having the option to use it for extra leverage is great. While the F15 does have a comparatively lean set of tools - others commonly boast 20+ - I'd argue it has all of the essential tools you'll need to perform the sorts of repairs you'll need to do on the road or trail for lighter riding. I'd just make sure your bike doesn't have any fasteners that the F15 can't handle, like T20 Torx or 10mm hex bolts. Your mileage may vary depending on your riding, too - if you're frequently smacking your rotors on rocks or blowing out tubeless tires, obviously that brings additional considerations. For in-town, cross-country, or even a bit of light-duty trail riding, though, this is probably the sweet spot. The other thing to consider is just having extra tools if you do more rowdy riding - I've since picked up a set of dedicated quick link pliers. If I'm going far enough to want to bring them with me, I've probably got a pack of some sort, so carrying two light tools instead of one heavier one seems like a fine tradeoff for me. For that reason, I'd highly recommend this tool.
