ENTIRE FAMILY PHOTO HISTORY ON ONE DRIVE
This 128 GB is a fantastic drive. I purchased two of these drives early this year. On one, I have scanned ( pre-digital cameras ) and loaded our entire family history in photos dating back to the mid-1800s through present ( 96 GB worth of photos! ). On the other, I have loaded home-made movies and videos. I carry both drives in my purse at all times, and have them ready to share with other family members and friends, or they can pop my drive into their computers and make instant copies of special photos or videos for themselves. Will be ordering two more so I can keep them in a safety deposit box. GREAT product, no issues. I've also had the 64 GB, 32 GB, and 16 GB Kingston drives for several years, used for music downloads, documents, and miscellaneous files - none of the drives have failed yet. Have been able to use them in home audio CD player with USB port and in our vehicles as well. Definitely beats carrying around a case of full-size CDs; now we can take our music with us in tiny format! One thing to note: my smaller drives ( 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB ) all have a flashing LED light to indicate the drive is being read or written to; the 128 GB drives I received do NOT have this feature. I contacted Kingston customer support out of curiosity, to be sure I didn't have a defective drive. Kingston indicated they had discontinued inclusion of a flashing LED in the drives earlier this year. I also checked Kingston's website and validated authenticity of the USB drives, to be sure those that I received were authentic Kingston drives. Will continue to buy Kingston drives - no matter how large, I seem to fill them up !

Good high capacity thumb drive - just didn't work for what I intended it for
I have a Mac and wanted to begin regular full system backups using Time Machine. I had hoped that I could do that with a high capacity thumb drive like this one. It had sufficient capacity but the speed was far, far too slow. After about 24 hours, it simply stalled, so I terminated the operation and removed the thumb drive. I later deleted all the files that were on it after the aborted operation and simply use the drive now for backing up selected files. It works fine for that purpose and I'm sure I will never use its full capacity, which means I have plenty of storage available for any future large files. It was a longshot that I could use it with the Mac's Time Machine program and I don't hold its failure to do so as fundamental criticism of the product. Time Machine simply needs a removable hard drive, not a thumb drive.

Excellent
This cyan Kingston Digital 4GB USB drive gets 5+ stars from me. The sturdy swivel cover can never get lost, and overall it's an attractive holder for your important data. The cyan color is great -- easy to find in your bag and identify. I am most likely going to purchase more in different colors so I can keep track of my files without having to plug in every non-descript black USB drive (with the cover missing) that is in my bag to see which is the right one.I am using this drive mostly for sporting a library of MP3s that I play in the car. Works great with my stereo. Computer-wise, have had no problems using it with both Mac OS and Windows. 4GB is the perfect capacity to hold a huge library of music as well as data files that need quick transport. The green LED is also neat. It lights up in the circle (where the metal swivels around if you look at the photo)and makes it easy to know when the drive is ready to be disconnected from the computer.A great buy!

Handles Well
It's nice to have a flash drive that does not eat up all your information like my external hard drive did each time I tried to use it. I also purchased a case for it, and the metal overlay does very well in protecting the USB part (male device) from getting broken. I pull the protector over the USB part and then insert it into the case, and this preserves it for a longer life.20150913 Update. A few weeks ago, I took my KD Flash Drive out of the USB port as usual, and the four prongs inside fell out. It will cost me as much as I paid for it to retrieve the data. Meanwhile, Amazon was really good to give me a complete refund for this product. I will say this much though. At least the data is safe and not destroyed and retrievable still. I purchased two external hard drives that both ate up GBs of data. However, the case that I bought for this could not protect it from the USB port issue.

Neat little flash drive
I got this flash drive because it was the cheapest one with 4GB when I bought it, and it was well worth it.First of all, I have not used the "U-Drive" function as I have no use for it, but as a data traveler it works great. It reads very fast, and writes fast enough(though not as fast as a sandisk 4GB I've owned in the past). It also looks nice. Most of the flash drive's I've had have been either black, silver or white. Fairly futuristic, but bland colors. I thought the blue added a nice touch to the look. The protection for the most part protects the connector, but isn't as protective as a cap, or as efficient as sliding in, though it is durable.Overall it is one of the best flash drives I've used so far, with the exception of it's speed compared to my old Sandisk one.

Kingston Flash Drive- FAST TRANSFERS
I never thought flash drives vary in their transfer rate. Even with a 6 year old laptop, 4Gb of photos transfered in minutes. The speed may not seem to be an issue but, when consolidating a lifetime of photos and negatives using a scanner, copying from 3 PCs to digital storage then sharing with family members by burning discs, this drive makes it easier. These days, instead of looking through the family photo album, I bring the data drive and we watch a slide show on the flat screen. This way I leave the photos on my Mom's laptop. No more trips to the photo lab or even to the Walgreen's to duplicate photos.
