Tongs are absolutly useles. Pick & Hammer seem okay & working fine at the moment.

Beautiful wood, shiny smooth metal... this is quite elegant. However, it may loosen with use, requiring you to hand tighten it. I've only had to tighten mine once in the last month and I use it several times a day.

Love, love, love this for breaking up bags of ice that become blocks of ice. I do like the THREE strike options (one on one end and two on the other end) and it is sturdy as heck. But that does make this dangerous if not treated with respect-we keep it too high for child to reach- and don’t drop it while using! This is the ice pick I pictured in my mind to do the job!!
