18 Liter / 4.8 Gallon Butterfly Lid Kitchen Step Trash Can, Brushed Stainless Steel

Bought to use as a pail for cloth diapers. The lid opens and closes smoothly and keeps the smells contained. I can fit a cloth bag easily over the inner can liner, and it’s easy to take out and change. The slim footprint of this ca is why I bought it (I had a small space next to the changing table it needed to fit in) and it fits perfectly and looks nice but is unobtrusive. I wish it came in a size a bit taller, but overall it’s pretty good.

Excelente y muy bonito

I hesitated before buying this because it felt like a lot to spend on a trash can. Now that I use it every day, I completely understand why it costs what it does. The soft close lid is the first thing you notice. It closes quietly and smoothly every single time, no slamming, no noise. It sounds like a small thing but it makes a real difference in everyday use, especially in a kitchen where you are opening and closing it constantly. The size is just right for a kitchen. Not too big, not too small. And the slim profile is what really sold me. It fits neatly against the cabinet without sticking out or getting in the way. In a smaller kitchen where every inch matters, that slim shape is a big deal. The brushed stainless steel looks clean and holds up well. No complaints after regular daily use. If you are looking for a trash can that is well built, fits a tight space, and does not make noise every time you use it, this is it. Five stars.

EDIT: April 27/20 I was approved for a discount today when I called Amazon so very happy about that! I would recommend this garbage can as it is nice looking, fits in narrow places and the lid opens in the middle which enables it to be opened in the closet it will be fitting into. It has a removable liner which should be easy to clean as well as the exterior of the can. The pedal is a soft close pedal so no noise when letting go of the pedal. Original Post: I am disappointed that this very lovely expensive garbage can arrived today (April 27/20) with a dint in it. I waited over 3 weeks for it to arrive. The outside boxes were not damaged but the garbage can itself is dinted. I do not want to return it only to have to wait another month or so as I need it now. I’m hoping a discount can be given to help compensate for the damage.
