My two-year-old was born with a head full of hair. She hates getting water in her eyes and would cry each time we told her it was time to wash her hair. We tried so many things to make it easier for her — she won't leave the baby rain visors on, she won't let us cover her eyes with a washcloth, and she is scared of our handheld shower head. We had to resort to my husband cradling her in his arm while I rinsed her hair with a cup while she usually cried. I spent time researching ideas and came across the Shampoo Buddy, and I'm so impressed with it so far. I read so many of the reviews and looked at photos. Another mom showed how she sets it up with a towel on the counter, a small towel rolled up for additional neck and upper shoulder support, and another small towel rolled under the knees (thank you to her!). I mimicked that setup for my daughter, and we're having a much more positive experience now with hair washing. She actually asks to get her hair washed now! The Shampoo Buddy has some suction cups at the base that are pretty sticky and press down tabs/locks to further secure it. It's very easy to use and seems pretty sturdy. It feels very secure even without the tab/locks pressed down, because I have a bit of a difficult time getting the suction cups off when I'm done using it. The water drains easily back into the sink to avoid a mess. The neck support cushion is also removable so you can reposition it as needed. The only area I feel could use improvement is maybe the neck area or the width of the bowl (I'm not super sure which), because I struggle a little bit to access the area at the base of the head to rinse it. I also wonder if it will be big enough as she grows. However, I recall it feeling hard to rinse the underside of the hair while using the professional salon sinks while I was a student in cosmetology school 10 lifetimes ago. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and my husband even commented on how good of an idea the Shampoo Buddy was. I love when other mom's use their education and creativity to create things that make some parts of daily life feel so much better — thanks Tiffany! If you're a mom on the fence about whether or not to buy the Shampoo Buddy, please just do yourself a favor and get it.

To be very honest here, I bought this Shampoo Buddy last year (2023) Aug 28th. I don't think I used it too often back then but now it's a total life saver. My son is 4.5 yrs old and it's so much easier for me to keep him laying on the counter, head in the Shampoo Buddy to aid to his mixed hair (Liberian/Caucasian). All you both (yourself/your kid) need is a little bit of time and a lot of patience with your kidlet. Let them watch a movie or play a game on your phone! The sturdiness of the suction cups are amazing! To keep it clean and always sticky, I always pat dry then place plastic bag on top and lock it down. Then nothing else will stick to it. Also the quality of the plastic itself is absolutely amazing! Great jobs to the creators on this product, and to the mind behind the idea... props to you !! 100/100!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ To Amy's review below, the proper way to use the Shampoo Buddy is to have it as I do, in the photos I've attached to my review. Give it a go ahead the way I did, the next time you do your kids hair in the kitchen sink. I promise you it will be so much easier!!!

No more tears or mess, this makes washing my toddler’s hair so much easier. Stays in place and is comfortable to use. Worth every penny!

Overall, great product sturdy and easy to use but my kid requires a towel under her neck for comfort. Other than that, recommend.
