Fostex's Model T60RP Stereo Headphones is the latest in a long line of RP diaphragm headphones, a line that stretches back to the 1970's. Featuring Fostex proprietary Regular Phase (RP) technology diaphragms for supreme accuracy in monitoring, the new T60RP introduces beautiful, stylish mahogany housings and comfortable low-repulsion ear pads, as well as an optional balanced headphone connection to deliver even more brilliant and crisp audio reproduction. Includes standard 3.5mm to 1/4-inch adapter, carrying pouch and Fostex logo sticker. Weighs 380 grams (excluding cable).

Review: Buone? Ottime! - Ordinate per curiosità mi hanno convinto così tanto da portarmi a vendere Focal Elegia, Monolith 1060C e Ollo Audio S4X. Ho trovato il mio sound: bassi presenti e controllati, mai rimbombanti, alti cristallini mai affaticanti e... medi davvero naturali, voci e strumenti acustici vengono riprodotti molto realisticamente. Degno di nota anche l' headstage, non molto profondo, ma ben esteso in larghezza e con una discreta tridimensionalità. Ottima la separazione degli strumenti, con voci centrate e leggermente in avanti. E poi è anche gradevole esteticamente, i padiglioni in mogano le conferiscono un certo pregio. Io ho sostituito i pads di serie con un paio in pelle, angolati ed il suono ne ha ulteriormente giovato. Non è difficilissima da pilotare, meglio però se si utilizza un dac/ampli dedicato, al fine di farla esprimere al meglio. Io uso un SMSL DO100 e un Lake People MKII, e mi godo l'ottimo risultato.

It sounds good but you probably want an amp slightly more powerful then the DX3 Pro+ if u really want this headset to shine at it's peak. Build Quality is phenomenal, it is comfortable and I love it. Edit: Now I own a Fosi v2 amplifier and a SMSL h300 amplifier and these headphones sound much better on those in contrast to the Topping DX 3 pro +. If you want to actually enjoy these headphones, in my opinion you need an amplifier that can do at least 4 watts per channel into 32 ohms.

**Q: What cable and where can i get one to run this to a motu m2 balanced? 3.5mm balances to 1/4 trs balanced?**
A: The motu m2 does not have a balanced connection, you cant run balanced headphones on it

**Q: Are the pads removable? If so how do you remove them? They don't seem to come off easily so I want to make sure.**
A: Yes, the pads are removable, and I would say that for Fostex RP series headphones, replacing them is a necessity. (I prefer the Dakoni pads). You just peel the pads off by gently tilting one corner outward until it begins to let go, then easing it off. They have a thin leather lip that sits inside a groove. It does take a little finesse to get the new pads on, but if you take your time, it's not very difficult.

**Q: Has anyone tried a 3.5mm unbalanced cable with the T60RP?**
A: yes, it comes with a 3.5mm balanced (connected to headphone) to 3.5mm unbalanced (connected to source).

Ordinate per curiosità mi hanno convinto così tanto da portarmi a vendere Focal Elegia, Monolith 1060C e Ollo Audio S4X. Ho trovato il mio sound: bassi presenti e controllati, mai rimbombanti, alti cristallini mai affaticanti e... medi davvero naturali, voci e strumenti acustici vengono riprodotti molto realisticamente. Degno di nota anche l' headstage, non molto profondo, ma ben esteso in larghezza e con una discreta tridimensionalità. Ottima la separazione degli strumenti, con voci centrate e leggermente in avanti. E poi è anche gradevole esteticamente, i padiglioni in mogano le conferiscono un certo pregio. Io ho sostituito i pads di serie con un paio in pelle, angolati ed il suono ne ha ulteriormente giovato. Non è difficilissima da pilotare, meglio però se si utilizza un dac/ampli dedicato, al fine di farla esprimere al meglio. Io uso un SMSL DO100 e un Lake People MKII, e mi godo l'ottimo risultato.

I bought it and I am currently using it with a DX3 Pro+. It sounds good but you probably want an amp slightly more powerful then the DX3 Pro+ if u really want this headset to shine at it's peak. Build Quality is phenomenal, it is comfortable and I love it. Edit: Now I own a Fosi v2 amplifier and a SMSL h300 amplifier and these headphones sound much better on those in contrast to the Topping DX 3 pro +. If you want to actually enjoy these headphones, in my opinion you need an amplifier that can do at least 4 watts per channel into 32 ohms.

平面駆動らしく音の消え際がはっきり見える素晴らしいヘッドフォン。価格も高すぎないので、平面駆動型を持っていない方はバリエーションとして１台持っておくのも良いと思う。 ウッドハウジングの質感が良く、手触りや見た目の質感が良い。ハウジングの反響音も自然に聴こえる。 イヤーパッドも厚みがあり、装着感も良いです。 【EQ補正】 補正なしでもほどよく頭外定位しますし、EQや補正ソフトの効きも良いです。 自分は dSONIQ Realphones 2 を使用して聴くことが多いです。定番ヘッドフォンの1つなので、各種補正ソフトがこのヘッドフォン用の補正プロファイルを持っていることもおススメできる理由のひとつです。今は昔と違って高いFFT点数を用いた高品質なデジタルEQが実装されている製品が増えてきたので、積極的にEQ補正を試されることをおススメします。 【ヘッドフォンアンプは必要】 注意点としては、能率が低くインピーダンスもそれなりにあるので、ヘッドフォンアンプは必須になります。 試しにウォークマン A306 につないでみたところ、最大音量にすると意外と聴けないこともなかったのですが、低音の迫力は明らかに不足していて、鳴らしきれてはいませんでした。 ヘッドフォンアンプは性能さえ出てれば安くても大丈夫です。最近のオーディオインターフェースもヘッドフォンアンプが高出力になってきているので問題ないと思います。自分は DENON DA-310USB や Arturia MiniFuse 4 をつなぐことが多いです。
