They call it permanent, but it washes out. It didn't used to do that. Black never washed out - ever. They also stopped putting expiration dates in the boxes. I started using this. It washes out, but it takes a lot longer, so my colour stays fresher longer. If you're like me and don't trust no one with your hairs this is the best brand to do your own.
