Chia Uncle Si Duck Dynasty Planter

This was a novelty gift for a family member who is a fan. I'm not sure if he was successful with growing it, but the gift went over well and it was the most outrageous Duck Dynasty gift I could find. Product arrived as described and in tact, though the actual head was smaller than I had imagined.

My daughter chose to grow chi planters for her 5th grade science project. I thought finding a chia planter would be easy, but searched our local stores and they were not sold anywhere. So, of course I checked Amazon, which I should have done first. They had such a huge selection but the best find was the Duck Dynasty selection, all the guys were there and my daughter was so excited because she loves the show and loves Uncle Si! The directions are easy to follow and the planter started growing on day 2. So much fun to watch it grow!

It was okay, but the smell of the seeds and plant can get ripe! It can be a challenge to spread the seeds evenly. The product came promptly and looks like Si. I had not had a Chia pet previously and would not get another. As it was a gift, it was okay. The person enjoyed receiving it. The package was sent and received promptly with the item being secured as well.

My son is a big Duck Dynasty fan and was excited to receive this gift for Christmas. He is 13, read the "planting" directions and got to work. However, it is VERY difficult to get the seeds to stay on the Si's ponytail and parts of his beard. We will try again after this crop is harvested. The planter is a good likeness of Si and if we can grow a bushy beard it will be great.

My 58 year old dad loves art, crafts, color books, toys etc. He's just a big ol kid himself so I always try to buy him a novelty gift to go along with a normal gift for him. This was a big hit! He thought this was hilarious and got started on it right away! He also sent me pictures of SI in the different growing stages and it was pretty comical! It worked ok...he got some decent growth on it.

Yes my husband loves Uncle Si and wanted the product after the info-mercial but I was shocked that such a little head would be so expensive. My first "Chia" purchase. My husband loves it, was shocked there was so much time involved in getting the "hair" to grow.I was very happy to get this last minute gift from Amazon.

My daughter-in-law had Uncle Si on her gift list for Christmas. I could not find him in any local stores as he was sold out. I decided to order him from Amazon. My son sent me a picture of him online a few days ago. He looked just like the picture on the box. I was amazed that his beard was in full bloom already. They are very happy with Uncle Si and his growth of green!
