3M Bondo Wood Filler Quart 31 oz

This wood filler works very well for repairing dents, cracks, and damaged wood surfaces. It dries hard and can be sanded smoothly, giving a strong, clean finish that is easy to paint over. One important thing to know is that it requires quick work time once you mix it. It starts to set fast, so it’s better to mix small amounts at a time. If you try to prepare too much, it can harden before you finish using it. If you work in small batches and move efficiently, the results are excellent and very durable. Great for furniture repair and restoration projects.

This stuff is amazing. Gets rock-hard in minutes, so be prepared to work quickly. Super for repairing rotted wood, especially after using the Bondo clear liquid. The two products together can save a lot of work and money.

I used this almost every day for my furniture projects. It's quality, it's dependable, easy to work with and dries fast. Only thing I wished they do it change the color. I wished there was a wood color, or at least something of a neutral tone. Maybe there is and I haven't looked hard enough? But as long as this product still exists, I'll still be buying it!

This wood filler works really well overall. It mixes easily, dries fast, and cures nice and hard - exactly what you want when you don’t feel like waiting around all day for filler to set up. It sands clean and holds up well, making it great for repairs that actually need to last. Only thing to watch: the hardener is red. Use too much and your “wood repair” starts looking a little rosy. Not quite the natural wood tone most people are going for. Easy to avoid once you know, just don’t get heavy-handed with the hardener. Aside from the potential for accidental pink accents, it’s a solid product that gets the job done.

Used this to help in fixing some rot around a porch door. Worked like a champ! Cut away the portion that needed to be repaired and fitted some wood pieces to primarily fill the void. Used this wood filler first, against the existing wood that remained, then put in the wood pieces I'd prepared. Secured them in place and then let the filler cure - maybe about 30 min or so. Mixed up another, smaller batch of the wood filler (mixed as directed) and used it to fill in the gaps. Once cured, sanded to a good finish, painted and it all came out pretty good. Not perfect - but that's because I'm not a builder but it certainly worked and helped with this project. I wanted to use this one since it's an exterior door and I wanted it to be weather tight.
