Miracle? Or Just Incredibly Effective?
Conclusion: HomePlus Ant Bait is either a Miracle or just incredibly effective! Background: I've had tiny little ants marching across my front walk for 11 years, but they've never entered the house - until a couple weeks ago. As I placed my yoga mat one night, I noticed an army of the tiniest ants marching across my living room floor. I sprayed them with vinegar/water and by morning they were gone. Alas, later the same day I found the ants had now taken a different route. I traced them to the sliding glass door, around the edge of the rear patio and to the yard. Every night I sprayed them, every night they disappeared and every night they finally reappeared - always using this same second route. One evening the ants crawled up the sofa and walked across my leg! That's when I decided to look for something more effective, more long-lasting, and less time consuming to apply. I sprayed with vinegar water yet again and then looked on Amazon where I found this HomePlus Ant Bait. I ordered it immediately (thanks to the positive reviews and status as Amazon Choice) Thankfully, the seller offered overnight delivery! As promised, the HomePlus Ant Bait arrived the next morning - before breakfast! But when I went to put the baits in place, there were no more ants! Was this a miracle? Did they realize what was coming and run away in fear? (This really happened, I am baffled as to why.) Or did the Vinegar water finally work? Another Test of HomePlus Ant Bait - Front Patio Ants: However, a couple days ago when I decided to repair a leak in my front patio irrigation tubing, the little ants who had inhabited that area for 11 years were naturally marching as always right along the patio edge and getting on everything in the way, including me and my tubing repair supplies. So,I put off the repair and fetched another HomePlus Ant Bait device, poked the 4 holes and placed it where I saw the most ant activity on the from patio. I planned to try the repair again the next day. As I was leaving home a couple hours later and glanced over at the patio to see if there was noticeably less ant activity. But there was NO ant activity at all! I walked around the entire perimeter of the patio and still saw no ant activity. Two days later I still see no ant activity on the front patio. And I haven't seen any in the house either. (I did leave the first Ant Bait in the original location.) The only difficulty I had with the Ant Bait was knowing what to use to poke a hole in the Ant Bait. The first things I thought of were kitchen utensils, but I was afraid to get any poison on kitchen utensils. I ended up using a Phillips head screw driver that will never touch food. I am very impressed with this product and highly recommend it with no reservation for its stated purpose.

Skeevy but good
Like many Californians, we have issues with Argentine ants and after we re-did the decks on our house they got much worse in some downstairs rooms which were on the foundation line. I put traps down in this problem room where we were now seeing maybe 2 dozen ants during a day (which is a huge number because we'd go months without seeing one anywhere). I spaced them further apart than directed & went to work. I checked when I got home and...omg....I also had a nervous breakdown - there were literally thousands of ants swarming three traps in the area on the other side of the foundation wall. I was going to take away the traps, vacuum and then cry until I noticed that already there were many many dead ants among the swarming ones. So we left the traps all night & the next day we have a few stragglers and now thousands of DEAD ants. Unfortunately they decided to stagger all over the room to die but I sucked them all up in the vacuum (make sure you toss the vacuum bag in the outdoor trash!!) We left the traps but didn't see any more ants...it looked like one day took care of them for us. However- because I could see a lot of activity outside by our foundation walls, we did call an exterminator who only sprayed outdoors. I think the traps might've been enough to control the problem but because these Argentine ants aren't native & have no enemies, the colonies get huge...no fault of these traps but I think we would've had continued problems. Another issue: my room was my husband's music studio, so it wasn't a big deal for him not to use it for a day or two while we had Ants Gone Wild. But I'd also put some traps in our kitchen as a preventative measure...they had not attracted any ants, but I removed them anyway - it would've been too nasty to have that kind of ant attack in the kitchen. But I think they would've been a good fix if we had been having problems in the kitchen...the problem is that you need to 'stay the course'...it's going to take a few days to attract & kill them them. And if you're in NorCal maybe you had this experience: last year we had very few ants - I'd taken to spraying Raid every few weeks as soon as I saw one 'patrol ant' and didn't have to do much of anything last year. My husband & I joked that maybe they'd gotten Ant-Covid & died. Well...they didn't...or they all got off their tiny little respirators & returned because this year has been bad. Bottom line: these traps work very well, but ironically I think I'd only use them in areas where there's no food...or if you have a bad problem, put down the traps and eat your meals out for a couple days. My next step is to start bringing in Argentine anteaters cuz, dang, these ants are horrible!

Didn't work at all for me. Scratch that, I think they do!
Got these on recommendation of a friend who said they worked well. Put out 3 in the places that I'd noticed ant trails and didn't see a single ant enter any of the traps. The ants come and go, but don't seem to enter the traps or take the bait at all. Also, the Amazon listing was very frustrating, because it didn't say that this is for PACKS OF 4! If you order 3 units, you will receive 3 packs of 4 or 12 total traps. I would have ordered just one pack of 4 if this had been clear. I think I spoke too soon! I never saw much activity at the traps, but basically, after a few weeks, the ants disappeared. Months later I've seen a few back, but not consistently and if I see any more I'll put additional traps out. I think they work!

Not for Carpenter Ants
While searching for a product to kill Carpenter ants , i was directed to this product. I've watched ant activity and they go nowhere near these traps at all. I'm sure they're fine for other ants, but not Carpenter ants.

BEST AND QUICKEST ANT BAIT IN THE UNIVERSE BUT METAL CAN HOLES CAN BE DIFFICULT TO STAB OPEN
My plumber suggested Homeplus ant bait when I was having my very first breakout of ants in 12 years after having a new floor and baseboards installed. No joke within 12 hours of putting a number of these out hidden under dishwasher and furniture and two outside under handicap slide to kitchen door...all I had were dozens of tiny itty bitty little carcasses along the baseboards. Worked quicker than even the box said. I just replaced the cans after 4 weeks and I haven't seen an ant in the house since that first day I laid the traps out. Warning..it does take some strength to stab open the four pre cut holes in each of the metal cans. Some are easier to open...one I couldnt get open with15 stabs. My 75 year old partner bruised his hand trying to open. If you don't have dexterity try to find a non metallic HomePlus ant bait. Use gloves or wash your hands after opening bait traps.
