Installation was a bit difficult, and even though they are not recommended I had to use screws to mount it. At first my dog (he is a Scooby Doo personality) was a bit hesitant to get inside his igloo dog house because of the noise it made (it is not loud) but by about 2 days he was inside and staying warm. I would have given this product 5 stars but the screws provided with it are 1) insufficient, 2) wrong-sized (like #6 screws provided by the manufacturer compared to the 1/4" screws which I bought to attach the heater to the mounting bracket; th ones provided did not fit and were too small to 'do the job'. Also, since I was buying replacement screws all around, I went ahead and bought stainless steel to replace the zinc-coated ones. It is a great heater, the best really. (Go Akoma!)
