Great product, does what it claims.
I own a 2003 Maxima and replaced the factory Bose head unit last year and somehow lost the audio signal to my sub and tweeters. (I still have the factory Bose amp (200W Max) and Bose door speakers.) I installed a Kicker 8" sub with a Kicker mono amp, and also bought new Pioneer tweeters and wired them directly to the head unit. While adding the new sub re-added some of the "oomph" to the bass that I lost, and now have some of the highs back with the new tweeters, I still find something "missing" from the sound that I had before the head unit was replaced. So I'm looking to upgrade the door speakers next and figured I'd do it right by installing some of this after doing some research. I started with the trunk lid, but was still somewhat skeptical of the results. After going for a drive I was very surprised at the reduced noise coming from the rear of the car. This stuff seems to really work. After also doing the front and rear doors with this stuff, my factory Bose speakers now have more full sound, better bass from the front speakers, and I really enjoy listening to the stereo now - especially with my iPhone's downloaded music. I can't believe the difference. Maybe its just me, but the car even sounds quieter now. I can crank up the music and still enjoy it. The only downside is now I can't figure out if I still need to replace the speakers and get a new amp. :) Dynamat is more expensive than some of the competitors - Hushmat, Noico, etc, but I can't comment if it is any better. I just know that this does what it claims. I didn't cover the entire door panel like I've seen in some videos as I didn't want to make it difficult to get at any door or electrical components in the event I have to replace something like a power window motor. But I did cover as much as I could of the metal on the four door panels as well as the inside of the exterior panels. After doing all those and the trunk lid, I still have 1.5 sheets left. Install was easy, just cleaned up the areas with mineral spirits. Xtreme also does not require using a heat gun to install like the regular Dynamat.

Expensive but definitely helps with vibrations and noise.
I just fully restored the interior of my foxbody Mustang. Between the supercharged motor, full exhaust, and very firm racing suspension, the car is LOUD inside and out. After stripping out the entire interior and trunk down to bare metal, I first applied a Foxbody coupe specific matched Dynamat kit from Late Model Restoration. But there were a lot of flat metal panels left untreated, and flat panels are what tend to vibrate the most. So I got a couple of these generic Dynamat kits to cover more area. Overkill? Maybe. But considering how loud the car is to begin with, I figured it couldnโt hurt anything but my wallet (this stuff isnโt cheap, haha) and maybe the penalty of added weight (so what, itโs a light car with over 670 HP and nearly the same in torque, so whatโs an extra 75 or so lbs of sound dampening?). Note, I also used this material to repair and reinforce the plastic/carpeted trunk pieces which were cracked from years of abuse, and are almost impossible to find now. I can sat that even with half the interior still out of the car, the reduction in Noise and vibration is noticeable. The car is still loud as hell, but to a lesser degree and the exhaust drone isnโt as palpable. So while not cheap, this stuff works, and is very easy to apply. Just make sure the surfaces are cleaned and degreased, that you have a little roller tool to flatter out the surface, and be careful because the aluminum edges are sharp.

A must for any noisy car, after you start with the doors.
My wife's daily driver is a 2011 VW Jetta TDi. If you've been in the latest version of the Jetta lately, or any compact/sub-compact, you know there's a lot of road noise coming into the cabin. Note: We had this product installed concurrently with four 10435 Door kits. After 18 months, I finally convinced my wife to let us try this out under the condition it was professionally installed. No problem, saves me the headache of dealing with it myself. I wish I could tell you a bit more about the installation. However, I will reiterate what everyone else says, make sure your application surface is clean of oils and debris. Before the dynamat was installed, you heard every bump as well as felt it. You heard the noise of the tires from the road through the doors. If you are soft spoken, conversation was difficult on the freeway. To put it simply; It was loud. We had all four doors plus the trunk covered in dynamat. The difference was huge. Bumps are now only felt, and not heard. The stereo system sounds a bit better, not to mention you don't have to turn it up to accommodate speed increase. The doors close with a more solid thunk. And best of all, no more road noise!!! Hooray! My wife called me up this morning and said even she noticed a big difference!! As a post-script to this review. We've ordered the bulk pack kit 10455 to have the floors covered. Now my wife notices the noise coming from the floors. I told her, "The noise was always there, you just never heard it because of the doors".

AWESOME
Dynamatted the rear deck and trunk lid. It was the finishing touch after installing an entire system in my 01Maxima SE.For bass I'm bumping a 10" Kicker Comp Sub in a sealed enclosure driven by a 300W amp in the trunk. Before Dynamat - the rattles sounded like crap! After Dynamat, the majority of rattles are gone. I have 2 sheets left over (there's 5 in the trunk kit) so I'm gonna mat the remaining resounding trunk areas to completely cancel out all the rattles - hopefully. Just matting the rear deck and trunk lid - elliminated 90% of trunk rattles. Minor remaining rattles are coming during higher volumes and the bass energy effect on the tail lamp and lic plate areas. Being a bit of a perfectionist audiophile I want all the rattles gone. So far this works great and it looks cool in my trunk!

Great quality
First time using this product and it took about 3 hours to install the trunk. Installed on a 2020 Altima trunk. The hardest part was measuring the sections to apply and being cautious about how much of the material I used and where I put it. If I had more of the material I would have applied a lot more, but considering how much I had this definitely made the quality so much better. I did watch several videos on how to install it. I did use a heat gun to make the adhesive more sticky which helped. I also recommend the roller to apply this material. I highly recommend this product if you have a system installed. This makes the sound so much cleaner on the inside and less areas to rattle.

Underbracing Before Dynamat! 2000 Toyota mr2 Spyder
Perfect amount for the entire car (2000 toyota mr2 spyder). Granted, I didn't do overkill with 100% coverage; just majority of firewall, and all resonant areas throughout the rest of the car. I felt obligated to also get Dynaliner, as I worked hard to strip the entire car. I didn't want to feel like it wasn't enough and restrip the car if I was unsatisfied. Overall, with both Dynamat n Dynaliner, there was a significant improvement. I would say 20% decrease in vibration and noise, at best. Sidenote: I later discovered my car, a toyota mr2 spyder, for models 2000 to 2002 had a lot of vibration due to lack of underbracing. Later years, underbracing came factory. So, Dynamat does what it needs to do BUT ask yourself what and where is the true source of vibration and noise before purchasing. The product was easier than expected to apply. After hours of research, Dynamat was the best choice. Don't settle for anything else.

The sound improvement was **definitely** worth all of the effort.
Easy to install however very tedious (time consuming). We purchased this for an old SLK 230. Now you can actually hear the stereo and a conversation. What an improvement on the road noise. It also replaced the tinniness and added some substance to the sound of the door closing.
