Feria Multi-Faceted Shimmering Permanent Hair Color Hair Dye, V28 Midnight Violet (Deepest Violet)

Favorite color ever! The first day you use it, it is dark, but over the next few washes it really turns a beautiful shade of purple. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

My hair was a plum red purple and I was wanting to get rid of the unicorn colors so I used this color and it is a level 3 dark so if you want a level 4 find one that is a level 4 violet because this is a black brown violet. It looks dark but you can see the violet in low light and outside in the sun. It turned out even, even though I had highlights. So will use this again. Not sure if it fades or not but I will return with an update later in the week. Side note it looks red when you mix the solution but remember it is a blue based violet and they have a red booster to make it dark violet.

I'm surprised of the low rating on this. I've used only those dye for about 7 years. This color gets me alot of compliments. Of course no dye last long because your hair grows quickly. I am allergic to alot of chemicals. This one gives me no problems. I usually buy at Walmart but they are always sold out. Overall great product

Used this dye for 9 months on virgin, medium/dark brow hair. Everything about the experience is great. The color is GORGIOUS. Shiny, bouncy, healthy. My only complaint is that after 1.5 months it is completely washed out. I wash my hair every other day with color safe Biolage shampoo and conditioner. Rarely put heat or any other stress to my hair. In the past when I have used *permanent* black, it was there for the long haul. I understand the violet would fade but it is completely gone. My expectations were that it would be permanent, not a semi or demi dye which is the only failure. My hair has always taken dye well and never had a problem before. Outside of low stamina, this one pulls through. Can see purple in the sun, black inside at night

This is the only place I've been able to find this shade of Violet black. I have shorter hair so I only mixed half of everything in a separate bowl and it was enough for my hair. The mix turns a bright, clown like red once it's ready to apply to your hair, which is actually kind of cool because you can see where you've already covered. I left it on for about 45 minutes and followed the instructions, shampooing twice with the shampoo they provided and then left the conditioner on for about 5 minutes. You do see a lot of purple rinse out with both shampoos but that's pretty normal with any darker color. The conditioner wasn't really anything special but I'm really picky. But the color turned out great. I colored my hair almost 2 weeks ago and it's still just as shiny and soft as it was when I rinsed it out the day of coloring it. The only downside I can find so far is that when I shampoo, I can still see purple running from my hair. But once my hair dries, it isn't faded and is just as vibrant as before so I'm guessing it either washes out a little with each shampoo or maybe it just doesn't last as permanently as other colors. With that in mind, I do use cleansing conditioner regularly and only shampoo once a week, so maybe when using this specific shade, you should shampoo less. Overall, I'm very impressed with the color and the ease of use and I really hope that it won't be discontinued since this specific shade is hard to find.

I did absolutely love this color and covered gray well. Close to black while indoors unless the light hit just right to make the purple pop. In the sun or bright lighting it was a beautiful and vibrant purple. My only downfall to this product is that I was continiously washing the color out, even using a L'Oreal shampoo for color treated hair. In about 3 weeks the color was practically all washed out.

This is *exactly* the color I was hoping for: black with a very dark purple tint. My hair is naturally medium brown, and it dyed my hair exactly the color I wanted. I will definitely be using this color again in the future. UPDATING 5 WEEKS LATER: This color was perfect the whole time it was in my hair. It has nearly disappeared at this point, but I think part of that is because I didn't saturate my hair well enough while dyeing it. The color didn't fade to a different color either, which I'm glad for. Some previous hair dyes I've had have faded to other colors (like deep reds fading to copper/orange), but this one didn't do that at all. It has stayed purple the entire time. As it leaves my hair, it's like the purple just vanishes and my real hair color (medium brown with auburn undertones) is showing through again. I would definitely purchase & use this color again. I can honestly say it has been my favorite color that I have ever dyed my hair!

USED IT FOR THE LAST 5YRS. I LOVE IT!!! IT LOOKS REALLY DARK IN LOW LIGHT, BUT QUITE BLACK BUT IN THE SUN OR BRIGHT LIGHT, YOU CAN SEE IT'S ACTUALLY DARK PURPLE!! I RECOLOR EVERY FEW MONTHS. I HAVE BROWN HAIR

I purchased the dark purple to cover my blue and emerald green hair. I have been playing around with different colours for a while now. It is time for a change. I wanted something permanent. That said, I am happy with the results. It does look more purple in the day light. I used Vaseline around my ears, neck, and throat, just in case. I also used Vaseline over my tattoos on my arms just for extra protection. Keep in mind while looking at the photos, I covered dark blue and emerald green.

Favourite dye for sure

I have light brown hair and this stuff actually stays dark and stays purple. I love it!
