Tvilum Unit 2 Drawer and 3 Door Sideboard, White/Walnut

I read all of the one-star reviews but decided to take the chance anyway, and I'm glad I did. I had a very different experience and end result than the other reviewers, but they're correct on a few points: (1) this is NOT expensive furniture, so don't expect superb quality. It's not bad for the money, though; (2) are there a gajillion pieces? Yep. But it's mostly hardware. The bottom support bar, for example, has 38 screws just for it alone; (3) are the directions hard to understand? A little, but again, they're not bad. It's all pictures, and words sure would have been helpful in a few places.Here are my post-assembly tips:• It takes a LONG time to put together, so plan accordingly.• Go slowly – you'll be glad you did. Rushing will cause you to make mistakes and damage the piece.• Lay out all of the hardware and pieces BEFORE you start – being organized saved me a lot of time and headaches.• There are several pieces on which all the places where screws go don't have pre-drilled holes. No idea why – seems like if they're drilling two holes, why not all three? So, use a drill or a smaller screw to drill pilot holes so your screws go in straight. If they go in crooked, you can crack the pressboard.• Read a couple of steps ahead so you understand the relationship between where you are and where you're going.It comes in two well-packed boxes, and none of the pieces were damaged. And thankfully, all the doors and drawers lined up easily, which other reviewers said they had trouble with. Overall, this is a really nice piece for the price.

I had wanted this piece for a long time but it was sold out everywhere and I thought it might be out of production. About a year later I was surprised to see it back in stock almost everywhere. I'm happy I went with Amazon bc both boxes showed up with huge amounts of damage and you could see the mdf chipped a lot. The replacement Amazon sent also had a ton of damage but it wouldn't be visible after assembly.Construction was simple enough like other furniture in this price range. Took an evening and I did it solo. Leveling the doors took more time than I'd like to admit but it's the same as any cabinet alignment. There's a metal U shaped bar that runs the length on the piece on the underside for structural support. This is great but I wish there were pre-drilled holes for that. The countertop is 24" above the floor which feels a bit low and I'm 5'6". I might get new legs down the road.

If you think that putting together pieces of an ikea furniture is a nightmare you have probably not experienced yet the disaster of putting together this unit.The pieces don't correspond and after over one week I'm still trying to figure out how to fix it. The quality and the design is very nice and I would have been more than happy to have this unit in my apt if it didn't take me over one week to put together and still pieces don't work together and there are some empty spots that I really don't understand how should get filled. I'mStill trying to figure out if throwing this piece on tha garbage or still try to figure out a solution. I definitely wish I have never bought it and I would never recommend this purchase not even to my worse enemy. Oh, and I have always bought pieces of furniture included beds, tables and drawers online and I'mVery very good on assembly them. I cannot even imagine how a beginner would feel once he gets this item. Good luck! Spend your money on a nice dinner rather than with this disaster. At the moment it doesn't allow me to add photos (don't know why) but I will provide pics of this disaster ASAP

The sturdiness and thickness are great. The instructions are useless, can't say that strong enough, USELESS. In 25 year of putting these pieces of furnitures together, I must have erected 3 dozen pieces of furniture together. There is always a small gripe about each one of them, we all know what I mean. I have never said one was an entire 'guessing game' to construct. No words or measurements for the screws, ect, no colors to tell boards apart, no instructions just simple diagrams. I would never buy this again, simply for the intolerable instructions

very hard to assemble as there are no instructions and all kind of screws that you have no idea what they are for!!!I had a handy man put it together and it took him 4 hours :(

We love this piece. Sleek and chic. It took the expected time to build. Unfortunately, one side piece was damaged. The seller, however, reacted right away to our email and replaced the damaged piece with in days. We love it and are happy we decided on this piece

I read the reviews and saw everyone say it was terrible to put together, they were right. I still bought it cuz it was the exact measurements I needed but after putting it together I would return it if I could. It took 5 hours to assemble, several spots the wood split/cracked and the doors are completely uneven dispute all my attempts to fix. I would not recommend, it looks ok but it was not worth the price or the effort at all.

The item arrived with pristine packaging intact. Upon opening it, large crack runs along thr center of the 2 most important pieces. Both to the point it will collapse if you try to build it. There are so many pieces its laughable. If you expected an easy time to build it, you're absolutely wrong. The colors are also darker than what is shown on pictures.

Yes, this is one of those pack a picnic basket and expect to be at it for awhile kind of tasks but the end results were well worth it. I am not going to lie, this took me and my husband several hours to build. Tip: Read through the instructions there are pictures part numbers and not a whole lot of text, have containers and painters tape at hand. Put all the necessary parts for each step into the containers and label them with their part numbers. Carve out a block of your time in your agenda and be prepared to focus. Note: we did have some delivery issues with this but Amazon made it right. The first delivery came with box 1 of 2. We waited for several weeks before flagging it. Hoping that box 2 would arrive based on other reviews I had read. When it did not, we contacted Amazon and they rectified the issue immediately. Sent out a second 2 box unit within a short timeframe. We then returned the box 1 of 2 conveniently through the courier who came to our door to retrieve it. We live in a small rural town no where near a Puralator location. The Amazon representative helped me make this happen. We are talking about a large and very heavy box being left behind our garage on a given day and then having them come to retrieve, it was amazing! This is why when Amazon states they are committed to customer satisfaction I wholeheartedly agree!

The instructions were little bit complicated, but over all not too bad. It took me about two hours to put together. The end result is amazing. I’m happy with my purchase and I’m glad I ignored the bad reviews this product got.

Les plans sont très mal fait

Le meuble n'est vraiment pas solide, le panneau arrière est tombé et s'est cassé en deux. En plus il est difficile et long à monter. Je ne recommande pas.
