## Description

128 BLOCKS: The 15"(l) x 11"(w) x 7"(h) pail includes 128 Bait Blocks

Review: Things went great for the first couple of years, and then . . . - I ordered 2 buckets of these bait blocks (2 x 144 blocks) in 2018. They seemed to be awesome. Used them in Washington State in shop and garage and haven't had any issues. Used them in SE Oklahoma relatively successfully for a couple years. We placed them strategically in our cabin, in the shop, & inside & under the hood of our vehicles to keep the mice from eating anything, especially the housing on electrical wires, etc. We're gone about half the year, so the mice could have a free-for-all for months at a time; thus the aggressive preventive measures. The first year, the blocks were just totally intact when we came back months later. No damage anywhere. We removed the blocks in the vehicles, and left the others in place. Same procedure every time we leave for a long period of time. The second year after returning, I noticed lots of little green residue around many of the blocks. I figured uninvited spiders & bugs were eating the seeds. No biggie. I did notice a few little flying critters in my bathroom, and I thought they were "silverfish". The blocks looked like bugs had been nibbling on them -- little green residue around the blocks. I cleaned everything, replaced all the blocks in there, and the flying critters seemed to go away. But this year, when we returned in January -- the blocks in the vehicles were utterly disintegrated -- just a pile of green fluff with seeds in it. Inside, once the house warmed up, things started coming alive, and we had little white icky-looking worms showing up EVERYWHERE! They were absolutely resistant to everything we sprayed on them -- we could NOT kill them, even saturating them with bug spray. Eventually a direct spray of Wasp killer killed the worms. Most of them went down the drain, followed by hot hot water. I hope they don't crawl up out of our septic tank!! The inside blocks were looking much like the blocks in the shop -- some were fairly intact, but some were totally disintegrated, as in just a pile of green fluff and partially-eaten seeds. I had diligently placed the bait blocks EVERYWHERE in the cabin -- inside cupboards, along baseboards, in perimeters of every room & closet, inside drawers -- anywhere a mouse might go. The flying insects were mostly gone -- there were a few but mostly they were dead, laying here and there. And I found lots of little cocoons in tight spots, & that's where the worms came out of. I think they thought it was spring when the house warmed up, and everything came alive! I have spent mucho hours cleaning everything, washing everything, vacuuming everything -- trying to get everything cleaned up. The blocks are all sitting outside where it's cold -- just to get them out of the house. I think they'd probably still be effective if I just distributed them outside on the ground a distance from the house -- but I'm not really sure that's prudent. Those worms can really travel -- and I don't know what their next stage is . . . Long story to say those 2 buckets turned out to be a disaster! You will notice a smaller, waxier bait block. Those are a different type, and they are just a year old, but I found areas on them where they were starting to look "eaten", & a few with worms coming out of them also!!! Hopefully I retrieved all the blocks that were inside the cabin. This mess of bait blocks is ALL going to be thrown out where maybe our wild night critters outside will eat them. See the photos to see what I'm talking about!
Review: A fabulous product! - Like many in our (rural) area, we typically start seeing mice about the first of April, after the snow. This year, everyone was complaining about the mouse infestation in February. We started by using traps, often catching 2 mice in a standard trap. We have cameras in our barn, and one night, we discovered dozens...DOZENS of mice running around. That's when we decided to go with bait blocks. Within 5 days, no mice were running around the barn. Each morning, I'd find a few dead mice that I would pick up and dispose of. We began recommending to others in our community. This product was a game-changer!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this a 'no secondary poisoning' product?**
A: This is a "first generation anti-coagulant". That means an animal has to eat some every day for 5-7 days in a row to die. The result is a very low chance of secondary poisoning (secondary poisoning being when a predator eats a rodent that ate the bait). However, this also means that it often doesn't kill all the rodents either. You may also want to consider Fasttrac, it is a true "no secondary kill" product and kills rats after only a single dose. It also has a lower toxicity than other products if non-rodents eat the bait directly. I sell both. JT Eaton blocks are popular for the cheapest option. Fastrac is the most effective and safest. I hope this helps. Let me know if I can be of more help. I have over 20 years of pest management experience. JoeEntomologistePestHero

**Q: Does it work on chipmunks and red squirrels?**
A: Grey squirrels in Central Florida love them.We don't have chipmunks or red squirrels here.

**Q: Is this t j eaton 166004 709 pn legal in fresno california ?**
A: Check with the Fresno County Animal Control please. This product is not legal in some areas of California and the fine could very well be far more expensive than you care to pay.

**Q: Seller, under "size" you state 4 pounds....compared to 9 lb elsewhere. Having been misled this way historically, l must confirm package size. TY**
A: Hey Ty...

I am a verteran purchaser of this product on Amazon. Been there, done that, including the issue you mention. Reality IS....the product comes in TWO SIZES. the 4 lb. and the 9 lb. Let me make this easy.

BUY...the 9 lb. The guys selling it has the BEST DEAL..end of subject. The other guys are ripping us off. Buy the large size....and get the BEST DEAL. It is the SAME product... The EXACT SAME product.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rodents love it
*by D***D on August 14, 2026*

I buy this every year and I’m always happy with how well it does. Squirrels love it and eat it like candy if you put it in a big enough bait trap for squirrels to fit in. Obviously works well if you have rats and mice too. I have to refill the bait trap twice a day when the rodents are feeding.
