Mine will no longer shut all the off after it got wet. The 4 smaller LEDs now stay on in a very dim state. Got about 10 mos out of it so $1/mo isn’t a bad deal I guess lol **Q: Is this light water proof if left on the pole outside in the rain?** A: I guess so. I leave mine on the pole but when you crank the umbrella closed the light is inside where water proof too. **Q: Can you turn it off?** A: Yes you can turn it off. It opens and closes around the pole and fits right. The lights have 3 different settings bright, brighter and super bright. You just click the button to turn on select lighting and turn off. You can close umbrella with it on there it slides to bottom or you can easily take it off. Hope this helps. 4 AA batteries. **Q: This does not fit my pole. Is there a larger size?** A: Not to my knowledge. But it should fit standard umbrella poles.
