Makita DUB185Z 18V Li-ion LXT Blower - Batteries and Charger Not Included

Bought this as others as already in the 18v Makita tools rabbit hole. This maybe small, but does pack a punch - using it for garage workshop. Blowing off sawdust etc from projects, floor and tools. Lightweight, good size and well built, so should last a while.Happy has three speed settings as high is creating a dust cloud in garage. I only really use the first two as more than enough for required. Others note the length of the nozzle but think this is perfect even outside.I was choosing between the DUB185 and the DUB186 with longer nozzle. These are the same machine, but the longer nozzle decreases the air velocity to 68m/s as apposed to 98m/s for the 185. If i feel i need a longer nozzle for say the garden or reach, you can buy it for £12. But blowing debris of driveway, had no issue with shorter nozzle and using 5amp battery.Overall, wish i had got sooner and recommend.

Beware! This Makita blower is not - and is not meant to be - a serious, heavy-duty petrol powered blower for whole heaps of autumnal leaves. It is, however, a superb machine for blowing leaves and detritus in smaller amounts from the front door, the front porch etc. Make sure, however, that you get the longer garden nozzle to go with it. Makita tools are the best in the business.

A really useful tool, has great airflow considering it's size. Although with the Makita build quality comes a slightly higher weight than the likes of the regular Chinese mass produced blowers you can buy. It's perfect for blowing dust off smaller or even larger items with small nooks and crannies without blowing your arm off with it. I found it perfect for the likes of blowing out drywall / plaster dust from all your equipment, clearing dust and debris from your radiators and dust from venting and fans. I personally would have preferred another higher setting than 3, because I felt that the first setting was basically like an asthmatic hamster blowing. I've tried in on the lawn and on max setting will happily send your leaves packing, although misses the full punch of a proper leaf blower.

Excellent product. Small yet powerful. I recommend getting the nozzle extension though. Even shifts piles of saturated leaves. Battery life was surprisingly good, given the amount of saturated leaves I was shifting.

Plenty of power as a blower,not great at hoovering bit awesome blower for the size and price,great for anybody in all trades or around the garden

I got a copy version of this last year as i didnt think id use it all that much, its ok. I realise i use it more than i though so decided to get the real deal. Its a lot more powerful and it has the option of 3 speed settings which is great, really useful adition

Great little piece of kit. You could use it for leaves at a push but I got it to clear dust, dry the cars after a wash and remove dew from the cars as the weather cools. Removed water from the mountain bikes after a wash. (Entering rust season) Also great for prepping the Barbie but we are starting to lose daylight on that one. Shares batteries with my other kit so was a great little purchase.

I love this cordless blower! It works great for outdoor projects around the house, but we also use it at major livestock shows for our swine projects when power outlets aren't available. The battery lasts a long time, and it's surprisingly powerful for such a compact, handheld tool. It's lightweight, easy to carry, and has quickly become one of our most-used tools. Highly recommend!

Ich hätte es ja selbst nicht geglaubt, aber dieses kleine Makita-Akkugerät pustet nicht nur Laub, sondern auch meinen alten 2-Takt-Stinker endgültig in Rente! Kein Gestank, kein Gehörschutz, kein Anziehen mit 17-maligem Seilzug – einfach Akku rein und losgepustet.Das Ding liegt so gut in der Hand, dass ich es fast liebevoll streichle, wenn ich damit durch die Garage fege. Ich nutze es inzwischen überall: Werkstatt sauber machen, Sägespäne wegpusten, sogar die Terrasse freiblasen – früher hätte ich dafür Druckluft gebraucht (und ein langes Kabel und ein brüllendes Kompressor-Monster).Jetzt? Ein Knopfdruck und der kleine Tornado ist da. Leicht, handlich und überraschend stark – quasi der James Bond unter den Gebläsen: elegant, leise, effizient.Fazit:Wer glaubt, Akku-Gebläse seien nur warme Luft, hat dieses Teil noch nicht erlebt. Come with 3 power trigger and the button control variable speed. Very handy to blow dust off the table and tight corners of work piece. Saved quite amount of time compare to sweeping dust off table and floor. If you already have makita 18v battery, this is one nice addition
