First off i want to say I love the REAL version. I bought this version of amazon 5 times (aka used this for 5 months). I have had issues with my skin burning while using moisturizers for a long time (i thought it was because my skin barrier was really bad). So i bought this to hopefully repair it. Well i was so very wrong, i used this for the first 2 months and noticed my skin itched a lot but i didn't think anything of it because it had been doing that for a while due to dryness. Then by month 3 & 4 my face started to burn not a whole lot that you would inediatly draw red flags and throw that away (which i should have right away). Then my face got super red, my skin was crap before this product but slowly it started to get more and more red. Then i saw a video of someone who got a fake skincare product from Amazon. Thats when it all clicked. I started to smell it (like really smell it) and it smelled like chlorine (which i am Illergic to - Hense the red face and burning) So i immediatly threw it away. Then went to Ulta and checked out the realy version (had little to no smell & def. not chlorine). I bought it and have been using it for about a week and It has changed my skin even within this short amount of time. My face is not red, it reduced my blackheads, it make my skin feel moisturized, and most importantly it doesnt burn or itch anymore!!!

When I first ordered this, they sent me a tube that expires in 2023. It was literally a miracle in a tube! It worked like Accutane to clear my acne. I got so emotional, because I’m in my 50s and nothing has ever gotten rid of my acne. In fact, every cream and every lotion always made it worse. It got rid of the redness and burning on my face as well. Within five minutes after application. So I ordered another one right away. Except the second one did nothing. Literally nothing. It didn’t take away the redness. It didn’t get rid of my acne. It didn’t soothe my face. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong, I returned it and got another one thinking maybe it got frozen on the trip because it was -8° at the time and that maybe damaged it somehow. The 3rd tube was the same, I still have some of the original tube left, so I would alternate between the third tube to the first tube every three days when I got tired of my skin looking a mess. I would put the first tube on, and it would heal overnight, so it wasn’t my skin had stopped responding. It still responded perfectly to the first tube they sent me. I took a picture of both tubes and uploaded it to AI. That revealed everything.It pointed out several subtle differences on the tubes. Symbols. Expiration date. Descriptive wording in the paragraph written on the tube. The two tubes were not the same! It then explained to me that this cream underwent a formulation change. So since 2023 was a long time ago it’s highly unlikely that those I just hang around. I believe they save the bottles that expire in 2023 for first time customers, because they know it’s a superior product. Once you’re hooked, they’re hoping you’ll keep buying. Don’t waste your money you guys if you get the tube that says it expires in 2026!!!! The new formulation is no better than using Eucerin on your face. I wondered why so many people in the comments were saying it stopped working for them and so they stopped buying it. I tried their oil free version, hoping I could catch the magic, but something in it makes my skin itch. Why do companies do this!?? I would’ve gladly paid more for the original amazing totally EFFECTIVE formula. Why downgrade a product that truly HAD healing powers for the skin? If you all ever decide to bring back the original formula, please make a BIG announcement, because I will be the first one in line! I would spend $60 a bottle for that one! It was the best beauty cream I think humans have actually managed to create as a 2026. I actually had a good cry.

At first this moisturizer seemed great. My skin looked bright, clear, and hydrated. After a few weeks of use I started noticing dryness and some itching around my lower face. I blamed the weather and kept applying the lotion. Finally, I woke up one morning to find my entire chin covered in flakes. Dry, flaking, scaling skin. Irritated. A Google search led me to consider if it was this product, and on seeing the other reviews about seeing flaking with this, I stopped using it. Problem solved. I’m very disappointed, as it is not a cheap product, and a patch test wouldn’t have warned me, since it took about a month for the problem to develop. Leaving this review in case other people run into this issue. If you’re dry, itchy, flaky - yeah. It’s this lotion doing it to you. :(

This had been advertised as one of the best moisturizers. And it was recommended for women with rosacea. It was one of the most expensive moisturizers zi have purchased. I used it as soon as it arrived and immediately my face started burning. I thought it would quickly stop but it continued until I was so uncomfortable that ai washed it off. When I did my face was very red in spots. I waited several days thinking this was a one-off but the same thing happened. It took about a week for the redness to disappear. I could not return it because I had tried to use it. Waste of money.

Liquid exfoliants, not moisturizer! Awful! Would not buy this again would like a refund. Makes my face or anywhere I put it peel lightens the skin because of the peeling does nothing for moisturizing your face. Do not buy! Even caused this 72-year-old to get a bump red bump on their chin.

I've tried SOOOOO MANYYYYYYY moisturizers omg it's insane!!!! After watching the budget dermatologist talk about this moisturizer I decided to give it a try and I'M SO HAPPY I DID this is perfect for my skin! I have acne prone sensitive skin that can be really dry on my forehead and on my smile expression. This is godsend, it moisturizers so much and I hate oily and sticky stuff and this is just perfect, I can finally say I found the one for me because I was about to give up really 🙁 try this and if you don't like just return! ------ Update : after a few days using this moisturizer and loving it, I started breaking out really bad! It was the only thing I've changed in my skin care routine, and now I have 10+ pimples on my lovely face. It's SO FRUSTRATING to be me sometimes. I believe this was caused by the dimethicone in this product plus I have niacinamide sensitivity so maybe they were the ones causing my break outs. So unfortunate. I will go back to my vanicream moisturizer (I like it but it isn't the best for moisture! At least it won't break me out!) good luck for anyone else.

This certainly moisturizes, but like others have said, it pills and comes off if you rub your face at all. It’s the strangest thing! I can rub my entire face and come up with a little pile of the “pilling” or flakes that come off. I paid a lot for it and have decided to give up and stop using it. What a waste!

I'm decades away from my teens. This moisturizer brought the memories of troublesome skin back-- but worse! Toleriane Double Repair has been causing cystic pimples on my nose. I would get one like every other month or so. I never had this type of pimple as a teens, mind you - I had to look this up. Cystic acne is close to boils - it's super painful, large, and lasts about 2 weeks long. Before I started using this product, I was using RoC Retinal Line Smoothing Max Hydration (fragrance free) Cream 🧡 for 3+ years. Not once did I get 'cystic acne'. Looking to save a buck, I'm like, This moisturizer is a little cheaper, and very popular, let me give it a try. I've been using it for about 1.5 years. In that time, I've probably had 6 cystic nose pimples. They're so awful, like having a welt on your nose that's bright red and oh so painful. You just have to ride the thing out too. 😢 Also, the "pilling" of the moisturizer is 100% real. I could almost deal with the moisturizer wiping off my face in chunklets,... but this latest cystic experience was so unpleasant. No More! I'm definitely going back to my trusty RoC Retinal Line Smoothing Max Hydration Cream. I'm using the remainder of mine as glorified hand lotion. Also, the RoC Retinal Line Smoothing Max Hydration Cream comes in such lovely jars that you can wash them out and reuse them for all sorts of things. They're very pretty.

This is the best lotion I've ever used; I even got my sister and her friend hooked on it after using mine on vacation. It's very hydrating and works well with my dry sensitive rosacea skin. The first month, I used this only at night time and used a lighter cream in the day. Then, transitioned to morning and night. It is a rich hydrating cream, (not thick or feels heavy on your skin), just melts right in. However, if you drench your face in it... it will pill slightly. I have done this when I'm at home and my face is looking a little sad (dry) and then I rub my face a lot (the pills are not enough for me to care). Turns out I was just dehydrated. I wear this with makeup, alone and mix it into my products. It gives your face a nice sheen look... not too dewy/oily just gives a hydrated, young refreshed look. I wouldn't go anywhere without this lotion and I highly recommend it!

Good for use and it does not feel messy on the face

I have an oily type that lacks moisture. So it's always very tricky to find a right moisturizer for my skin. I was looking for it for the summer. It's been 7 years since I've used the La Roche Posay skin care line, but it's my first time using the Toleriane face moisturizer. I realized right away that I fall in loooooove it. I've been using it nearly two weeks now. It's not too heavy or light, it's moist a lot and very smooth texture. Even after applying it, my skin doesn't feel tight. Also i like the enough amount! I always feel like I'm using up 40ml too fast. So good so far overall!

I'm impressed with the texture of the oil-free moisturizer, it quickly absorbs into my skin, providing all-day moisture without any greasy residue. I've noticed a significant improvement in my skin's texture since using it.
