It is good quality and insulated. I just hope it can handle the electric dryer exhaust heat.

The quality was good, and the white PVC coating looked so much better than the old uncoated aluminum. And the old hose had a lot of pin-holes that leaked hot air, while the new one had none. This was going to be a big improvement, worth the price, I thought. But I was really disappointed when I tried to install the hose on my dryer. It doesn't fit anything! It is smaller than a standard dryer vent hose; it looks like this has a 4" outside diameter, and it should have had a 4" inside diameter. See the photos - the old hose goes over this elbow fitting as it should, and can be fastened with a hose clamp. Instead of sliding over the fitting, the new hose slips inside. :(

I am a contractor. I have disliked the traditional options of flimsy mylar or fell aluminum for years. The mylar does not hold up or meet fire code. The aluminum splits and caves in. Not fun to work with in tight spaces.This stuff works great. It is sturdy and shrinks neatly as you push the dryer back. I am pretty sure that this product is NOT fire code compliant because it is PVC plastic rather than metal. But I am using it in my own home on my dryer.It comes in a 16 foot length. A third of that is plenty for most dryers. I recommend replacing annually to reduce fire risk and improve drying times. Easier to replace than to clean.Overall, very pleased. The better option I have found so far.

This worked perfectly! Best part is they even took the time to protect you by sealing the ends of the wires! Thank you for that!I purchased a different one from another seller and not only was it not the length or width I ordered, the wires wrecked havoc to my hands. Those wires attacked me!This one was the correct length & width. When you have the correct size like this one, it attached to both ends easily & quickly!So just skip the others and get this one, even if you think it's to long!

I have not installed it. I need at least 26 feet of INSULATED METAL DRYER DUCT VENTING which this seemed to be, then now I'm not at all sure. I need a professional to alert me as to whether I can even use it - it is not unwrapped, still in its package. So, I can't review since I haven't used it. You see, there's the dryer (washer/dryer) in my utility room, and the vent goes from the back to the ceiling, and over at least 10 feet to a soffit opening for the dryer. i\It is the worst possible situation imaginable and it is not working well with the one I moved in with.
